He hasn't learned / cannot learn/ will not learn… its a shame we had a great Januarty, because I think if we'd dropped off the pace then, the furore to get him out would have increased and the Allams 'might' have acted.

    Come on Leicester!!!!!

I am so tired of the Bruce regime now. I can respect that what he has done for us is great, given us our greatest memories and is the best manager we have ever had (although that isn't a hard feat). However. Past merits should not be a basis for a free reign and the avoidance of tangible and deserved criticism. I believe we have now gotten to a point in which fresh ideas are required and we need to go in a new direction.

    - Severely lacks a plan B.
    - Has archaic philosophies and tactical knowledge.
    - Squanders large amounts of money season after season with poor transfer window signings. Especially this season. Albeit not all signings are flops.
    - Manager who sets the team up to NOT LOSE rather than to WIN.
    - Manager whose initial instinct is to be defensive.
    - Plays a tedious and dull style of football.
    - Seems incapable of getting the best out of his squads.
    - Doesn't seem motivated or up for the fight as much anymore, he even stated how he nearly quit at the beginning of this season.

Hypothetically it would be really interesting to see what another manager could have achieved with the same group of players.

I didn't find the 3-0 win over Borough and the 2-0 v Burnley to be tedious or dull. I never find our wins dull.

I guess if you win you're a real good manager, and if you don't you're a **** one, basically.

As for his 'archaic philosophies', is he a Coptic Christian or a Druid or summat?

And when he needed to be a good manager 'that will never happen again' I think thats a direct quote and the last two months when he should have been earning his amazing salary with millions at stake, … he proved he's ****!!!

I've got to the point where, as a former supporter of Bruce, I have to agree with most of your points. When it's going well, and all the players are on board he's a good manager. But when it goes wrong he doesn't appear to know what to do about it. It is a failure of imagination. I didn't properly realise how poor he is in this respect until I read his autobiography, and upon reflection of his handling of Livermore. Time for a fresh impetus and new thinking.

Agree with the fickle fan jibe. Thing is though,Bruce has changed every position in his squad time after time and still it seems cannot get the balance and composure right to win enough games. When this happens, and bearing in mind last seasons relegation when it all went tits up,you have to start wondering if Bruce has another season in him or,should we get turned over in a the play offs, will he still be here?

Unless I'm sure of whats happening I don't comment on whats happening, only if I have a stream or it's after a match I've been to. A lot of times i read match reports when I've been to a match and they are nothing to do with what I just witnessed.Even with streams you don't necessarily see what type of shifts players are putting in

I'm afraid we have very fickle fans (witness the lack of respect for Phil Brown and Nigel Pearson). Some of it comes from high, with the current owners unwilling to acknowledge anyone or anything pre 2010, and some of it comes from having a lot of new fans who don't understand what being a supporter is, because they've basically accepted being a customer who demands entertainment/value.
(Puts on manager's coat and geeky specs) When Meyler doesn't play, we lack bite and tempo, when he does we lack finesse and the ability to keep the ball.
Tom H is in many ways the opposite of Meyler. Not very mobile and allows opponents too much time to gain confidence with the ball.
Either way Steve Bruce gets the blame for the failings each of these two and the problems they can bring. It's always his fault.

I think a lot of fans frustration with Bruce this season is that he seemed to get things spot-on about the turn of the New Year only for it all to fall away again. I remember all our terrible managers back to the 80's and whilst it's true we've had a lot of bad 'uns I think it's a valid question to ask whether somebody else would have done a better job than Bruce this year given that we have a Premier League squad

    Everyone is frustrated as ****.
Blaming people doesn't improve things one iota, it just embarrasses the turd who posts it. Not sure how valid it is to speculate with hindsight who might have achived better results. They may well have achieved worse results, and maybe the problem is the players limitations more then the manager.

I think we've fallen off a cliff form-wise in the last 6 to 10 games, No one saw it coming, no one knows why and no one at the club seems to know how to reverse it. Similar things happened at Derby, Boro and Burnley but not as badly and not as late in the season. I expect they don't know why either but they all seem to have found a solution.
If we fail this season, it's a collective one...the Allams, the management and the players. They all have a big input which affects the outcomes. Players and managers all make mistakes. And chairmen.

    Well said, totally agree
Bruce looks & sounds like a man who is totally lost & at the end of the road
I just don't see how he can fire these players up now to get to Wembley & then win the Final
The Allams need to put him on gardening leave immediately & promote from within a new manager & assistant
With Bruce left in charge I have no faith at all in him to get City promoted. He should have gone a long time ago.

Or maybe it is the manager limiting the players abilities with negative tactics.

There are some very basic things wrong at the minute when you think about it. We have owners who don't seem to understand the very basics of what a football club means to its supporters or how to treat anyone who disagrees with them. They blatantly stay away from watching the very thing they represent and for me that is unforgivable, they also don't seem to be able to deal with anyone who says no or indeed, respect the fact that some things are not for sale. Whilst some will use this as an excuse to stay away, many more will soon become disinterested having been spoilt by success. The fact that we don't own the ground, share it with another sport and are unable to display the KC as our home also dilutes the whole thing. We don't even have a proper club badge for Christ sake as those in charge time after time threaten or disassociate themselves from the clubs destiny. it's still a long from the real dark days of course, but is there any wonder why many old and new get miffed when things on the park go tits up?
