I know long term he's not what the fans want but like you say he may as well jump in for the rest of the season and get some experience.

I bet the Glazers will just sit tight until the end of the season. I have no doubt we will lose to West Ham, I suspect badly, and so our last possible hope of silverware will have gone. Mathematically, and only mathematically, we are in with a slim chance of 4th but our competition all seem to have the better run-in . Jose (or whoever) will not want to touch the job until the summer, no self-respecting manager will want their reputation tarnished or their CV trashed by being associated with the club for the 2015/16 season, for however brief a period, and I suspect Giggs would tell them to f*ck off if they asked him to be caretaker again without promising him the job full-time. Add to that the additional pay-off to LvG for sacking him before it is certain that he hasn't met his contractual obligations (ie CL footie) and it is easy to see why we will be stuck with him until the end of the season.
I think it best just to close your eyes and wait for a speedy end to the season watching LvG drain whatever character and confidence remains out of the squad.
