You certainly dodged a bullet there. Mind you, you've been machine gunned for so long, one stray bullet is a godsend. As for his motives yeh transfer funds would be one factor but don't see what you mean by football intelligence. Any manager given the choice of going to Spurs or United for footballing reasons would pick United. Lets not pretend otherwise.
A full back at CF and a natural number ten at RB are you sure of your managers football reasons Face facts you will have to buy manager and players to become any sort of threat in the future
Ed Woodward should be sacked, as far as I'm concerned. He has been worse than LvG and David Moyes together. I have no idea how LvG has stayed in this job with all the money that he has spent. Woodward should be held completely accountable. And what is it with our Board and the "Democracy" bullsht they seem to practice. X likes this manager but Y doesn't think it's a good idea. That fkin sht pisses me off every time I read about it. Even the talks of giving Giggs the job riles me to no end. There is complete lack of decisiveness about the way they run the club. This has affected our transfers as well. My fear is that the damage that is occurring right now may take many years to fix.
He's a fcking idiot no doubt about it but the squad is actually pretty decent. We need a RW, a proven 25-30 goal CF and a commanding CB. If we can manage that in £100m I'd be happy!
We actually have a decent right winger, Rashford, but we play him as striker because he has scored some goals.
Typical LvG - we have a natural winger, Rashford, playing through the middle and a natural striker, Martial, playing on the wing - it ain't rocket science LvG
So Rashford for become a winger? I don't see that argument. He is 18 and have shown he has what it takes to be a center forward. At that young age, their game evolve so fast. Look at Bale who started as left back and Ronaldo as right winger.
