I feel like he's a lot more agile than your Benteke, Bony, Carroll type target man though. He might not have pace but he's more like Kane in that he'll hunt the ball down, work the channels and constantly look to make runs. The other target men I mentioned are much more static when awaiting the ball.
Kane is useless in the channels. Thats how we kept him quiet most of the game, the bloke has no idea what to do with the ball when he's not near the goal.
Physically or mentally? He's definitely ****ed in the head But to be honest I think when you look at his record under Ancelotti its clear he's still a top striker that knows where the goal is. So I don't think his injuries are as bad as they have been made out to be.
I think he's slow. I think he's broken down a lot with hamstring so... I dunno . Mentally yes he might just be done with england
Kevin Stewart - home grown and useful and hard working squad player. Danny Ward - home grown 3rd keeper Rossiter - Klopp spoke highly of him preinjury Smith - Australian so not sure if he countsas home grown? Been with us for years. Decent squad player.
Stewart is only association player. I think he's very average really. Rossiter would be club trained but.. again.. dunno. Smith would count as club trained on think. Deffo 3 years served u21 Ward I'm not sure of. What age was he signed from Wrexham
Not really, he doesn't have to be Messi on the ball to run the channels effectively. He makes so many runs he pulls defenders into areas they don't want to be creating space for others and making the defenders work hard. There's nothing a defender loves better than being up against a Benteke or Balotelli who gives them loads of time on the ball and doesn't bother chasing after anything, makes life easy.
Depends if an elbow in the chops is easy game. Carroll is not easy to play. But hed rather pull off to full back than go up against cbs.
I think we should sign suso!!!! Not being serious, but anyone who still has a soft dpot should chevk out the hatrick of worldies he put away for genoa on the weekend.....great to see him playing like we all knew he could.....dont know how toadd a link from a mobile
I hope he can keep it up. I felt ac milan were only trying to try it on and sell on so if he can establish himself and Lucknow that'd be good. He really never established a best position as at no 10 he wasn't up to it in prem so finding a place to develop was important but he also ran out on loan when showing fight was needed. Best two footed player I ever saw in our academy set up imo. He was really really good
Just seen the goals, some tidy finishes to be fair although the 3rd is one where 99/100 he should be pulling it back and not shooting from there.... ridiculous angle! Still gutted he never had more of a go with us. Must have been something more to it than just talent as the guy stood out constantly in the U21's and when he played, he was no worse than some of the more established players. He just never got a proper run and think was partly due to him not nailing down a position. He had too much competition in that number 10 role and if he played wide he would always cut inside as he wasn't a winger and didn't have enough pace. Still looked very composed on the ball, had an eye for a pass. Probably didn't help him not being physically as tough for the Prem though. Can see him having a decent career in mid table Italian / Spanish clubs for next few years though. He just needs to go play football solid for 2 years though as his development stalled with us when he got too good for the U21's.
it will be interesting to see who is next linked. I do feel as though LFC's season and potential signings hinge on these next two games.
