Look at the league and I'd say that answers your question....and it's not full backs who are our problem IMO. We haven't had a proper centre back pairing since H and H and for years it's cost us. You can have two average full backs next to two class centre backs but you can't have two average centre backs no matter how good your full backs are.

I don't see Lallana starting next year, and I think Firmino could be used more as the false 9.

Plus we'll be selling Benteke and Mario.
 
There are strong rumours that Skrtel is off to China this summer, plus caulker and will be gone.

There is space for two more defenders - Matip as one and I'm hoping we go for someone like Jonathan Tah at Leverkusen.

As Billy said, we need to build the base of the team. It's been neglected for so long.
 
So bascially my view is this:

LFC needs 4 home grown club players and 4 association players. we just do even if not in euope as the prem have their own rules on this.

so my keeps:

Mingolet is staying, get used to the idea. his contract is direct evidence on this.
Clyne will be RB (maybe) this is 1st association player
Gomez has not kicked a ball with klopp, nothing is certain. he is young enough that he can qualify has club trained player so has value
Lovern: frankly he's up klopp's street. i think he will stay.
Sahko? Not sure here. he likes the style but he's got errors in him
Matip: new signing
flanagan: new deal ergo staying. club trained player 1st over 21 CT.. makes up numbers

Obviously leaves 4th CB and LB open.

Wisdom: Should be club trained player... but klopp didn't recall. this one i feel theres guys in his ear so if wisdom doesn't have mighty preseason he'll be sold.. theres a lot of guys with opinions in klopp's ear.

not one other defender or keeper can be sure of a slot IMO

Midfield area:
Can: he'll be kept.
Milner: 2nd Association player. no other reason
lallana: I think klopp wil keep him 3rd association player. he gets klopps plan but can't execute consistently and just runs out of real steam but keeps going at a certain level
Ibe: will be kept as he is next (3rd) club trained. irrespective of anything else he's then got that value.
Coutinho: going to be kept co he's only one who can develop into top player if he attains consistency.
Grujic arriving.

The rest i think is totally open. (even henderson)

Room for 2 CMs, RW, ACM, LW.

Strikers:

Origi:
Firmino. included here rather than further back.

Room for 2 strikers.. i don't rate ings like some do. sturdige i think will go if offer is big and benteke has signaled we have failed the great man.

and thats it the rest totally open... we will keep one of ings, sturridge, henderson cos we need 4 association players. We need 4 club trained players and are struggling to get them through.

Klopps not getting 9 players in...

zeilinski, gotze.... thats some start IMO... milik will be another. maybe Hector

Thats one player in each "line" signed by klopp... good enough? not sure... better than this year... dunno. I think a big preseason would solve more but gotze would be a big addition.
 
Don't really want Milik. He looks like more of a target man to me, not what we need.

Haha, to be fair I think Costa would've been more effective than the rest of them.

Costa has no pace. Maybe if we got him before Atletico did his hamstring ok but I felt the 3 behind made it for him last year and this year chelsea have really suffered.
