.....like the one at Man City would have? ... and also if Wanyama had gone ... but without Forster's fabulous saves it would have been a far more convincing score line ...

I can't honestly see a single reason as to why either might have been given as a penalty.

Simpson was running and his arms were swinging, which is natural. His arms never deviate from that running action. Absolutely no penalty.

Huth was 2 yards away and Austin has smacked it straight at this hand.

It absolutely does hit his hand. But how can you call that deliberate?

Come on lads, you're making tits out of yourselves. If we win this league it will be because we have deserved it. Not because of some imaginary referee plot to put the trophy in the East Midlands.

Yeah they have done that weird thing where they put the ball in the opposition net and then prevent the opposition from doing the same to them.

    Fancy that...

Totally disagree, he's watching the ball and clearly moves his arm towards it..

Well what an awful weekend of sport:

    - Tottenham drop points
    - Leicester, Arsenal, City and United all win
    - Hamilton only gets 3rd in the F1
    - England lose in the cricket

Just watched the highlights on Footytube. If that was a mid-table game, Mane's elbow blocked shot would have been given a pen all day long. Surprised the Southampton players didn't appeal more but most were a long way from the incident. Very fortunate indeed.

Probably gonna get slaughtered for this but here goes...
    1) Leicester are not cloggers so I can't dislike them
    2) The club made a brave moral decision to sack a player for behaving like a racist **** even though they knew it would probably mean his dad, their manager, would quit pre season.
    3) They have had some good luck but they also have had some poor luck in the past.
    4) I like our style of play but the truth is that you need to grind out 1 nil wins late on in the season to be champions...the fact that we have not been able to is a big difference between us and them.
    5) 5 clean sheets and wins on the bounce is impressive at any time but to do so straight after losing to Arsenal in such an unlucky manner at this stage of the season is amazing tbh.
    6) I would not be complaining if we had been able to produce these 1 nil results v west ham, arsenal or liverpool playing in the same way.
None of this takes away from my enjoyment of watching us this season...however our lack of knowledge about how to grind out wins could well still us end up 5th ... again...so I hope we learn it quick

It's easy to have "knowledge" about how to grind out 1-0 wins if you are immune from conceding penalties, or have other "official" help! I'm not actually sure that the "ground out" 1-0 win exists, or is it just a lot of "got away with it"?

Just because it happens a lot of times doesn't make it a fact, there are always anomalies in results and these can easily all go to the same team.

On a side note how do you all deal with bad results? If I'm watching it at home I usually need 15-20 minutes of loathing despair on my own and after that I just feel like "well I can't do f**k all about it" and move on/drink heavily, if I'm out I have about 5 minutes of loathing then move on/drink heavily.

In the slow motion shot it looks like that. But in normal time he's just running and his arms swinging. The ball hits his arm in front of his torso. No way on earth is that a red card.
