If I used the phrase "It's not the Allams policy" it was meant in the sense that it was not a policy created by the Allams. Apologies for any confusion.

But do you agree that by adopting and using (paying for it!) that policy they make it a policy of their own? Surely you can see that that makes sense? If so, can you not then understand that they must defend that policy they have bought, adopted and intend to impose on their customers. Do you not agree that customers who suffer under this new policy (by whatever degree) have the right to protest against the change and that they are not 'breaking their backs' to criticise the Allams? You come across as extremely disrespectful to your fellow supporters by criticising paying supporters for trying to maintain their ability to attend games, with or without friends or family. Step back, re-read, put yourself in their shoes and let us know your thoughts; rather than abusing others, just give us your wisdom on the matter - I'm sure you'll get feedback. :emoticon-0105-wink:

Yes, it's clearly a policy they have approved, I don't know where I've said otherwise.

The only thing I haven't sympathised with is the notion that changing seats is some life changing event.

I've sympathised with people who have to pay more - I don't think that's right. I've sympathised with those being separated from communities they've built up - I don't think that's right. If people think I'm coming across as disrespectful that's their preogative, but the only thing I've been disrespectful about is people carrying on about how despite being charged less for their tickets they're kicking up a fuss because they have to move when they're being given the chance to continue sitting with their friends.

They don't really need to ask me for feedback, they know I'll tell them what I think whether I'm asked or not and that obviously includes feeding back the responses on here and on social media. I've not proposed anything specific, I've just told them that there are too many people falling foul of the proposed new arrangements and I think it needs a rethink.

I posted a while back that I thought there wasn't a cat in hell's chance of the Allams selling up until we were promoted, I was told I was wrong and that there was serious interest without promotion, but it obviously hasn't happened.

Okay, thanks.

I think there is a lot of bollocks that comes out of the club as 'good' rumour and it is best to let it run its course, as you were quite strong in telling folk their concerns were invalid because of that bollocks.

I'll let those affected by the changes respond to your comments, but I think you miss a point or two.

I see Assem Allam's fingers all over the clearing of upper west and getting rid of the concessions. The details of the new membership scheme may have been worked out by the employees but the main details would have come from the top.

Assem Allam has been moaning about the amount he loses from concessionary passes for ages.

Assem Allam is no longer involved in the day to day running of Hull City.

I wasn't seriously accusing you of being an Allam apologist, but, as I read the thread from quite early and followed the flow so as to catch-up on an important issue, it seem did seem you were rather defensive of them. That's clear now, thanks.

I take it you are acting as the NOT606 rep in asking the questions on email? Has Mooney (or someone else within the cub) asked you for feedback or are you simply exercising your personal relationship with Mooney to garner information on where this is all going?

You know what they say about posing a problem - it is mostly better received with a solution. Have you offered one, or do you see one? I like the idea of a membership scheme, but abhor one at the expense of juniors. However, I do think Juniors could do to be redefined.

I am not surprised by their admittance that a sale is not imminent, but I was always surprised, that for a second year running, you kept insisting that many folks concerns were unnecessary, as a sale within months would eliminate the Allam issues - someone within your sources was obviously feeding you bollocks, or is that wrong?

The reason the club has not been sold is a quite simple one really, the owners have nothing to sell except a tier one ticket to the big time. A championship football club that play in an half empty stadium that it does not own, with massive debts (to the owner) and massively declining revenue streams. The Allam family are in last chance saloon this season and if the big prize is to be achieved then they would want it for themselves, and why not?

It would appear that they have taken on the membership idea based on an assumption of promotion which to be fair was looking good until recently. But without promotion the scheme is a disaster waiting to happen. Once again in summer players will be sold to balance the books and make sure the squad we have get paid in full until the end of the following season, just as last year. Just like last year, the manager whoever that may be will have no say in this, he will be expected to work with what is left and recruit on a limited budget. The downward trajectory of the quality of players and revenue streams cannot be reversed from here on in.

It is likely the owners will want to recoup as much money as possible before leaving which does not bode well for the future. That said, we will be in a better position when they leave then before they arrived and under the Allam ownership many claim (myself included) it is the best trip they have ever been on, from the verge of administration to the premier league, Wembley, Europe etc. So a very big game tonight with a lot riding on the outcome for the Mighty Tigers, it's either gold at the end of the rainbow or years of football obscurity which will be hard to sell to a disenfranchised fan base. I dread the thought of walking down Wembley way and getting to feel the same feelings as the Bristol City fans had in 2008. If we make it that far!

I will never support the Allam family ownership and will not let them have one penny of my money but I am a city fan for life. Like many I will only return to the circle when they have gone and I don't care which division we are in.

It's not over till the fat lady sings, the season is nearly over and people have plenty of time to digest the details of the membership scam and decide what they wish to do about attendance next season.

A good idea in principal BUT NOT the way they are going about it.

As for the consultation working party ? It must have been with a bunch of village idiots.

As for what James Mooney has come out and said.......... <doh>

Some (many possibly) of those groups of friends are sitting in areas they chose because they prefer the vantage point and are comfortable with the prices they pay. There are individuals (meaning are not going to the games with friends or family members) in those same areas who prefer the vantage point who are satisfied with the price they pay. Suddenly, after many years of supporting their team, paying for entry and establishing the optimal price/vantage point/community friendly environment etc are faced with (in some cases) a doubling of price (parents with kids maybe much much more) or a forced to other locations (cheaper - yes maybe, less enjoyable from the vantage point/community aspect - likely).

The owners (who signed off on this new scheme) are attempting to get more bums on seats by pitching this to those existing supporters who may jump at the chance at getting in for a cheaper price & essentially don't give a toss where they sit or with whom, and prospective new supporters (hey, this seems like a good cheap deal !). Their pitch is to (as yet undefined) future loyalty benefits. We all know what happens to those vague promises. They rarely happen.

I am one of those you seem to be admitting to have been disrespectful to - and I'm not a youngster or a parent of a youngster impacted by these proposals.
I'm kicking up a fuss about the insensitivity exhibited by this ill-conceived plan(or implementation thereof) because as a lifelong supporter, season ticket holder from afar, I'm being forced to pay more (double) for my seat or **** off.
In your words "I should get used to it".
You have little understanding of the culture of this sport and the importance it holds in the lives of many people.
Bit like the owners in fact.

The scheme/scam only works if we get promoted and if so it probably wasn't needed except of course to increase revenue and make the club more saleable at some point. The idea that the owners give a fxxk what fans think or want went out of the window years ago. So why all the angst?

A lot of people have adopted that standpoint. I make no comment on whether their stance is right or wrong, but it seems unlikely that the target of your boycott will not be hurting financially because of it, and therefore the person who will suffer most is the boycotter rather than the boycottee.
It's sad that both the boycotters and the people who they want to boycott are all now absent- a lose-lose

I have to disagree there, I would agree my money makes no difference in the grand scheme of things but I am not giving one penny of it to someone who treats myself and twenty thousand others like dirt on their shoe, my love for Hull City is never ending, I have the option to return one day. Sometime soon (relatively speaking, 45 years home and away fan) these owners will be gone forever. I can wait.
