I thought England were quite poor, until gifted Joseph's first try, but credit to them for taking full advantage from that moment on.

I'm looking out for citings, but I don't see any yet. How come? That cheap late hit on Sexton was dreadful and the guy who did it should be banned for the rest of the tournament.

Good on England for showing a bit of a ruthless streak (though the All Blacks would probably have put another 20 - 30 points past them) and shock, horror that the TMO didn't call the Welsh try invalid when asked to review it. I called it in normal play - it was pretty obvious that the scrum-half was in front of the ball, but to miss it on replays is, at least, inexcusable. Pity - as I thought the Scots did enough to win it.

It shows the problem with the TMO rules: if the ref says "any reason I cannot award the try?", the TMO has to look at all the phases leading up to it. If, however, the ref asks a specific question like "was Roberts offside?" that's all the TMO can rule on. It's stupid, they should automatically look for reasons not to award if the ref calls upon the TMO.

The revenue from North Sea oil historically has gone straight to Westminster, and then been pissed up against the wall by Thatcher et al. Check your sums - Scotland`s economy isn`t dependent on the oil price - sure there is some less revenue, but that affects the whole country too. It`s like saying Southampton`s economy is dependant on the viability of the Fawley refinery.

Yes - agreed. But the Scottish Nationalists calculations on GDP, etc were completely dependent on the oil price staying high to pay for the cost of running the country, free prescriptions, etc. That's what I meant - not historically .................. God knows what will happen when the great unwashed vote us out of Europe and Scotland decides to stay in ..........

I almost don't care because of Saints, though would have been nice to have a double celebration. I'm just waiting now for the "England will win the next World Cup" comments
