£20 pay on the night and we would have been turning people away.

I think the reasons for the low take up are obvious really: -
    1) The FA Cup isn't what it once was (for many people)
    2) Not everyone can afford it
    3) Probably most significantly of all - Lots of fans have fallen out of love with Hull City due to the Allams / relentless rebranding, etc. Many may never come back.

I'm rather taken by the title of this thread uttered as a Father Jack style ejaculation.

    Thanks Chazz.

    Agreed.
    You can also add
The seat moves out of East.
Adam used to give away a lot of tickets to the NHS and Smith and Nephew etc. Thats stopped. Too many freeloaders.
The club have clamped down on loads of people scamming it by having childrens season passes.

The club haven't really done anything about the missuse of passes yet, that's being addressed for next season.

Looks like rEhab agrees with me about aiming to fill the stadium for every game.....

"The Tigers vice-chairman said: “Clubs should be encouraged – by a penalty system – to ensure crowds are close to capacity.
“If, for instance, a game is not televised and played at 3pm on a Saturday then the attendance should be at least 90 per cent of capacity, maybe 95 per cent. Anything less and the club will be penalised financially.
“Televised games or games in midweek would have a lower threshold, but the same principle with a penalty imposed.
“That would encourage clubs to improve their marketing, pricing structure and the standard of facilities. Get these right and supporters – both home and away –will want to come along.
“At Hull, it would put the onus on us to get things exactly right. If the prices were too high, we could miss the 90 per cent threshold. For me, this would encourage clubs to fine-tune their efforts much more than a mandatory price cap.”

Ehab talking about the need for clubs to improve their marketing and pricing structure is comedy gold. The facilities is as well, as he seems to think that away fans are the ones that should have their facilities improved and money spent on, with friendly stewarding. Of course his own fans can do a running jump and have to deal with stewards itching to eject someone, wandering about, standing in positions which interrupt the fans view of the game...
Needless to say help for away fans doesn't extend to the club's own fans who travel away in the world of our marketing geniuses.

I seriously doubt he actually would want that.

It's a shame rEhab never seems to seize these interview opportunities with Sutty to:-
    - talk up the club in a way which appeals to readers
    - build bridges with the Council, lost fans, current but unhappy fans
    - sound a rallying call at this critical point of the season

rather than cause yet more eyebrows to be raised by criticising ticket prices when the news has been largely welcomed elsewhere as a long overdue step in the right direction. For someone who seems to believe in his own marketing nouse and credentials, he regularly seems to disappoint his customers and deter new ones by offering a 'my way or the high way' or 'who cares what everyone else thinks?' image to them.
If ultimately, admission revenue is a single digit percentage of overall income, he can allow himself to adopt a much more fan-focused attitude in public and try and repair the fences.

That or appoint a savvy PR person who can stop him making an arse of himself.

I wrote a similar thing a little while back; all the Allams manage to do when they open their mouths is give their many opponents yet another stick to beat them over the head with. They're a pair of sitting ducks.
