I can't see Guido taking the job without assurances that if we stayed up , he would remain in charge next season , if your dream was to manage in the Premier would you take the job without those assurances ? .Nope , he's here for next season imo
All managers would struggle coming into someone else's team with 16 games left within a relegation battle .
We got a lotta breaks getting our last 6 points , I wanna see changes this weekend no matter who's in charge...Fer , Barrow , Montero .......these guys need to be tried before our luck starts running out .

I see your points mate, I just don't think he will play with any width he hasn't done it up till now and don't see him changing. I think Fer maybe in with a shout, but to see barrow on the field I think it will be from the bench, I will be surprised if Montero even makes the bench.

We don't know what assurances if any were made when he took the job, so nothing is set for him for next season and even if assurances were made it doesn't man you have to keep them after seeing the way he runs the club. Gomis came here on the assumption he would start and he didn't, so I don't think assurances count for much.

By the way we earned the breaks by working hard and Curtis adjusting the game plan as the game changed. Anyway I agree we need a bit more width come Saturday, but I think we are at opposite ends of the scale when we think about who we want in charge next season.

Personally, I believe that we must not make the same mistake as Sunderland did in keeping on Dick Advocaat...

Advocaat had 4 wins out of 19 starts when he was with Sunderland Guido has been manager for us for 7 games and has 3 wins

When Guido came back to Udinesse 2010 - 2011 , after a poor start , finished 4th best team in Italy , next season , 3rd best , next season 5th best ........just want to remind people of who we have here . Pretty fair credentials compared to a few games in charge so far with us .Signed " Remaining excited with the new manager ....

But Roof, Curt was "really" in charge for 2 of those 3 victories. Yes, Francesco picked the team - but Curtis' brave changes secured the victories <cheers>

And it was the changes he made to the formations and playing staff that made the difference. He is just to negative.

It is still too early to judge Guidolin on how he would perform next season. He was brought in at an awkward time and may well have thought it was better to get a point than be more attacking and get nothing. We can only judge him after a pre- season and some change in personnel. He may well have made the same changes in tactics and subs in the last two games no one knows and it's only supposition to think otherwise.

Likewise to suggest he would have. The only thing we can be certain of is Curtis did make the changes and as a result we got the wins.

I agree, Guido was brought in to keep us up, and barring a few results it's job done and a huge amount of gratitude. But we cannot have him here next season.

Agree. He goes out not to lose games. As soon as Curtis feels we've got a foot in the game, he goes for the win.

Prepare to be disappointed ......and apparently Guido made the line ups for both games , whether the tactics to be used and subs to be made were discussed prior is for everyone to guess and for no one to really know but it makes for fun discussion .
I'm sure everyone will wish Guido the best come next August when we begin our "Best Season Ever " ...in my opinion .

Whoever is manager next season and we all want to see attractive football, my view is his first job must be to make our defence as mean and watertight as possible. If that is achieved I think the present squad is capable, with the right coaching, to play a more expansive game.

Alan has already stated that Guido picked the team etc, but that he had the power to change things once the game started.
Twice Alan has changed things, and as a result of his decisions, we have picked up 6 points from our last two games,

I'd agree once we sign Bonys replacement. Bony will be gone in the summer, I'm 100% sure of it with Guardiola coming in. I see a scenario of selling Ayew and buying Bony.

I'd love Bony back with us but I just can't see that happening. More likely he'd end up at Everton,Liverpool or Leicester than us I think.

Guido selects team which allows a foothold in the game which then allows Curtis to change things up for the win. One can not be done without the other. The very definition of teamwork if you ask me :cheesy:

So how have we managed in years gone by then, Rodgers picked the team and Pascoe changed it at half time, hogwash. The only time changes have been made for the better was when he wasn't at the ground, I doubt very much we would have changed it as we did against Norwich if he had been in charge match day.
