And your point is...
That he should have made himself available. Perhaps he did and wasn't selected still, but I'd imagine not.

I suspect JFH planned to play with out him
......as any sensible manager would.
Suspect he will be back on Tuesday..
No drama.
Simple use of a squad...
Sorry Watford, Beth is right, no man should put his job above being present for the birth of their child.
Watford has a bit of a thing about our junior.
Think Junior was missing on Saturday as he had just become a dud...
See we don't know nothing
My son was born at 5.00 in the morning in the NHS hospital in which I worked at the time, after a long labour which finished with an emergency Caesarian section. Got home at 9.00 in the morning, within 5 minutes my boss was on the phone saying congratulations and please go to a meeting at 10.30 with GPs to negotiate a contract. I went to the meeting, told the GPs they could have whatever they wanted, went home to bed and resigned about 6 weeks later (other factors were at play to be fair). I stayed at that place for about 10 months. With my current company, a nasty American global corporation, every major life event, family crisis, health issue etc has been greeted with 'take as long as you want, don't think about work, do you need any help,or support?' I have been with them for 15 years, 3 times longer than I have stayed in any other job in 33 years of work. That is how you build a team spirit ...Watford....
Asking a player to play in a fairly meaningless game (when we have another on Tuesday) after he his wife has just had a baby....is not the way to foster a good spirit, not only with Hoillet himself , but with the rest of the team.
That sort of gesture, wins over dressing rooms...the opposite, what you are suggesting creates bad spirit
I am glad you don't manage us
