2. Mourinho and Rodgers would have been sacked 18 months ago, Wenger and Pelligrini would have retired.
Fergie's won a shed load more than Mourinho. Check out Wikipedia. Jose may catch up if he joins United and manages to stay at a club for longer than 3 seasons.
I don't see how that's relevant as everything is relative. Do you think that's how they'll define their careers, head to head records against other managers? It's a bizarre way to assess managers, are you the Chelsea Astro (albeit a 75 year old, remarkably dim, dull, bigoted and bitter version)?
During Fergie re-build 2-0 to Jose, as soon as re-build completed Jose sacked for failing. Says it all really, only one winner
I wouldn't call it career defining but definitely relevant......... (but being a bias, deluded moron i wouldn't expect you to grasp that)
You're forgetting when Jose was at Inter and he got schooled by Fergie. It was the only time Fergie faced him with similar resources to work with (excluding Porto which was a victory for Jose). The entire time Jose was at Chelsea he had an endless pot of money to play with while Fergie was having to operate on a very limited budget. Guess who survived and won loads! The Chavs seem to forget that they sacked their idol twice. Fergie on the other hand took on and saw off all comers. Liverpool, Blackburn, Arsenal, Chelsea, City...easy!
It was career defining for Jose. His boss was pissed off that despite spending hundreds of millions he was beaten by an old man working on a Glazer budget of zero. Career defining as Jose was sacked. Although he's used to that now!
Can you read? Fergie was rebuilding, Mourenho took advantage of the situation. Fergie re-build completed, Mourinho couldn't hack it and ended up sacked. Like I said, only one winner there.
Mourinho knew how to get the better of Fergie....... Thats why Fergie respects him so much. If it was down to Fergie you'd have Mourinho in charge tomorrow.
