yes or no

A resident of ****er county in the US is a "****er", that's a derogatory term here in the UK, so should residents of ****er county stop calling each other ****ers?

I have made it prefectly clear that when I talk of a Hun, I mean a Rangers fan, if Medro thinks it means Prod then let him prove it as I have asked him to do since last week, all requests have been met with silence, so are you his new glove puppet?

webel take your tongue out his arse. he's a british soldier ffs, what would your father think?

My tongue isn't in anyones arse. I am just stating the fact that he has answered that question a number of times. As for his occupation, well I prefer to play the ball, not the man. Dev has always been consistent in his arguments(as far as I have seen), even those I don't agree with. I can only judge him on that.

I asked for a yes or no and you gave me a pile of ****e.

I dont think darkie is racist. Does that make me racist if I say it? prove to me it's racist

Yes then it is acceptable to call Medro a Hun.

"Darkie" is in the dictionary, it is a racist slur referring to Black people. There is NO dictionary that I know of which defines a "Hun" as a Protestant.

Noun1.darkie - (ethnic slur) offensive term for Black people
Hun - A reckless or uncivilized destroyer of something

Your move stupid.

his position is - if medro cant prove that hun is a derogatory term for a protestant then I will continue to use it to describe a Rangers fan. He's a grown man and that's the logic the man uses.

Personally Hun doesnt offend me but for someone who cries when the word darkie appears in the tag cloud (thought you never read the tags russ) he has some cheek on him especially when it is well known that Hun means protestant in NI proof or no proof

As far as I know it was penned in a newspaper the day after Rangers fans had rioted at Wolves.
The quote went something like "Rangers fans rampaging through the city like marauding huns" and the name stuck.
Nothing at all to do with the Queen. Little known fact, she's more Scottish blood in her than german. Her mum's side is entirely Scottish. Fathers side half German and English.
-----------------
Cheers geo didnt know about the wolves rampage, will have to look it up....any idea when this was roughly?
------------------
We all know - well should know - that our Queen is of Hanovarian descent, however as Geo correctly pointed out, there is Scots descent in her blood line also.
Such definition of the word: "Hun", can be described as being...........
1. A member of a nomadic pastoralist people who invaded Europe in the fourth and fifth centuries A.D. and were defeated in 455.
2. A barbarous or destructive person.
3. Used as a disparaging term for a German, especially a German soldier in World War I.
Are we anyone of these above?
--------------------------------
Just read a thing called wikianswers and its a similar story to what you have said but some tim must have edited that because it said at the cup winners cup match against wolves, TRUE TO FORM, the rangers fans rioted, and also that the word hun is a funny and accurate way to describe a gers man, and also that its non sectarian.
----------------------------
I still dont see where the word 'hun' becomes sectarian?
Gving away my North of Scotland roots here, but to me Hun has always been a description of a Rangers supporter, but has never had and religious overtones.
Certainly never heard a protestant Aberdeen fan (or Sheep Shagger) refered to as a Hun.
Maybe its just my upbringing and I'm sure some will call me niave but I've never had a problem being called a Hun.
--------------------------------
So just to clarify......nobody really knows lol
Im in the dark again!
---------------------------
I recall the early 60's when we used to chant "go home ya huns go home" that chant drifted away through time then surprise surprise they started singing it to us..another original like their walk on
-----------------------------
So nobody knows where it came from, why its an insult, and why its sectarian?
---------------------------------
Sorry Melb, but just saying from my point of view i have never had a problem with being called a hun. In my opinion its nothing to do with the War. Yes it has started as an insult but its just a name for us so i'm not actually bothered, we have names for everyone else after all.
---------------------
just a name ,that's why the scum get away with feckin murder because people like you say a just a name.she'll be right no worries.that's why the scum run the country.don't know how old you are
albertz but you have a lot to learn
--------------------------
Learning fast Melb. As I said earlier, was brought up in North of Scotland, but now live West coast and there is a lot of stuff that makes me think, bloody hell, stuff that was never an issue where i grew up suddenly is.
For me the word Hun is just part of the banter, along with Tim or sheep shagger. But dont think i'm turning a blind eye. I find the banner at Parkhead totally unacceptable. Although I dont find the 'Huns FC' perticularly insulting, the image of Lennon instigating Ibrox being burned is shocking.
----------------------
Ok guys, will refrain from using it to describe my fellow Bears.
But, why are we not all offended by the 52 relpies to the "Hun in the sun" thread?
---------------------------------------
if nothing else this forum has been an education to this thick taffy. i have enjoyed reading this thread coz when my local plastic paddies started calling me hun i just took it on the chin and took it for queen and country. (they have only been using it for 10 years) it will give me great pleasure to tell them rangers used to call them huns due to irelands and the vaticans collaberation with hitler

Once saw hm do an after dinner slot at a fundraising night. Absolutly toe curlingly bad. Best heckle you will ever hear came about 15 minutes in. The heckler must have been racking his brains for something subtle and new-wave to say but just came out with "Cameron, go and just **** off back along the m8 ya *****, your dying on yer arse ya hun *******" He did as well.
-----------------------------
Blame the clown who booked them.
The Huns have Cameron pre match, the Tims play Oirish songs for the plastic paddies about the green rolling hills of Danderhall,as most of their supporters have never been near Ireland in their puffs(nor would they be welcome there).
Ibrox is like a cross between the Nuremburg rallies and the last night of the proms, and Parkheid like a cross between a Daniel O donnell concert and an obesity rally. Its quite ironic to see fat Tims stuffing their coupons wi chips getting all dewey eyed about the Fields of Athenry

I've heard England fans being called 'huns' by the Oirish.

**** knows why. Must just be our over all friendliness abroad resembles that of Rangers

Don't be a ****ing idiot <ok>
