So even though protestant fanatics are in the OO and OB is the sectarian name allegedly used to insult them, hun is theword you choose as sectarian....even though on seeing your fanatics march hun is not a word I would associate with them

This is because it is reserved for a football team who's fans earned the title in europe

Sometimes its used for teams who sing the billy boys...a rangers song

So why are there no references to hun ministers, bands, bible, church?

Maybe because its only to do with rangers

Is this sectarian, double sectarian, or does double sectarianism cancel each other out?

Don't know can't watch YouTube vids in work.

As I mentioned before, this article was about the Celtic support and the songs that were sung yesterday.

You also said it was offensive to call Medro a Hun though. But seeing as he's not Protestant it makes it OK. Semantics; sounds a bit like I hate Jews.

Let's get this straight, you are the sole arbiter on what is and is not sectarian?

Is that how it works? You tell everyone what is Sectarian (with no evidence whatsoever to back it up) and we have to take that on board?

I can't prove it's not sectarian any more than you can prove it is but I at least know what "Hun" means to me, you seem to think it means Prod, from where you come from that may be true, but as I have explained to me it simply means a Rangers supporter, so should I stop using the word (or any words) just because you think they are sectarian?

And why did you feel the necessity to post this thread? Especially when you knew full well that it had already been raised on an other thread.

People like you are the worst example of an OF fan. You are insidious in the way you bring just about any topic around to bigotry and sectarianism. You seem to get off on these types of debates and look for any excuse to broach the subject, whether it be a couple of Celtic fans fighting on youtube or the use of the hun word. Christ, you even go the length of posting threads about Neil Lennon apparently shouting at a referee in a pre-season friendly game in order to raise the topic of Celtic and the club's behaviour.

You're nothing but a **** stirrer who starts these debates then sits back all high and mighty preaching to everyone about how bigoted and ignorant they are while acting like butter wouldn't melt in your mouth.

Not really, I had actually forgotten that trying to explain things to you was like trying to knit spaghetti.

You are simply the thickest person on these boards.

So you aren't sure if it is or isn't sectarian!?!

I know for sure it is over here in Northern Ireland.

I know that a fella was charged before in Scotland for having that word on a t-shirt.

I know that Nil By Mouth say that is a sectarian insult.

I know Paul McBride QC has asked for this to be cut out and used it in the same line as black footballers getting peleted with bananas.

Would that word gather so much heat if it wasn't sectarian?

But listen, you could just keep yourself sweet and not use it at all.<ok>

So Dev's definition of "hun" is someone who supports Rangers and you think that covers fans of all other teams including Celtic?

I've already destroyed your tired arguments Medro, you ignored them though <doh>

Even Rangers fans (as I have shown) do not consider it sectarian, they are not even sure where it originated. Andy Cameron the alleged Scots comedian calls himself a Hun, is he calling himself a Protestant?

Do us all a favour and don't come to Scotland if you don't want to be mock offended over a simple bit of football banter, because despite the ludicrous points you have made that's all it is, "banter".
