Agree, I wonder what's going on behind the scenes there. Bar a Champions league semi or final or something Pelligrini has done what was expected. Goes about his work with little or no fuss, doesn't attract controversy and wins titles. The 'modern game' drives us all bonkers

There is nothing wrong with January window. It's there for a purpose and you can see newkie working it. The thing is sky have hyped every deadline day and everyone is the same... dull and pointless as anyone with a brain has done their work in good time. Even we in our cheap way bid 10 days ago or more on Teixeira and we all knew that was it. Deadline day is a long drawn out drying paint watch thread cos sky have made a big deal out of nothing.
I agree there's nothing wrong with it. It gives teams a chance to change some things if needed. It's people own fault if they raise their expectations too high, because there usually isn't a huge amount of meaningful stuff done. Just don't buy into the media's attempts to drive everything up to a level of hysteria.
