That's berahino who, despite your disparagement, would have been a steal too at £15m in the summer of '14 when we spunked more than that on Balotelli.
At 15mil in the summer of 14 yeah that's good business. But It was never on, so I'm not sure the point?
We spunk money on over-priced foreign players. Gayle is £7m anyway, though he is injured - hamstring! http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...-Gayle-Claudio-Ranieri-prepares-7m-offer.html
I know Gayle can score the odd goal. But come on, we're a club that shouldn't be sniffing around that barrel. I agree we spunk money on over priced players. Hence my earlier post saying I'm happy for the day to end now
I agree with you that he's not good enough. I also agree that previous transfer dealings are irrelevant to this discussion. What i will add though is Gayle is a superb finisher. Two or three of his managers have said he's the most natural finisher they've seen. Granted, they aren't the greatest ever managers either but still, good raise for a fairly young lad. I'd say he is a back-up signing, something we've already got with Ings and Origi.
This is a 26-year-old who has scored all of 12 league goals in two-and-a-half years at Palace. There's now way we should be looking at him. 25% of his league Goals were against us, though...
nice post. We were expecting couts at least back for weekend but origi is at least a week early by that. he might mean light training though. also sturrdige back doens't mean much does it? is it available?
Here’s James Pearce......... James writes: “Sinclair, who is represented by Raheem Sterling’s agent Aidy Ward, has rejected the Reds’ offer of a new contract and is keen on a move to Vicarage Road. “However, since rejecting Watford’s initial bid of around £1.5million last week, Liverpool insist no further discussions have taken place.” so its not as attractive as first advertised. we can get more off a tribunal. also klopp says we can all go home... I am going now... i'm not asking my boss.
MATIP STAYING PUT? Reports in Germany suggest that Joel Matip, a reported target for Liverpool, has been offered a new contract by Schalke. His current deal expires in the summer but this new offer would effectively double the centre-back's wages and he may now remain in Gelsenkirchen.
