Surely Graeme Jones must be there for that award.....or at least the most linked player to never actually pull on a city shirt?
Boro have successfully concluded talks with Rhodes and he will soon be announced as a Boro player. Rhodes will be one of three players signed by Boro today with Belgian duo Ritchie De Laet and Julian De Sart set to finalise loan moves. All via @GraemeBailey
Powell has just arrived at the KC, presumably having been off to have his medical, deal should be sorted soon.
Philip Buckingham @PJBuckingham Deal for Nick Powell edges ever closer. @mattdeanradio says he's at the KC. Told Powell made it clear he wanted to join #hcafc last wk.
When people say he's worth something they mean on paper and based on profits generated more than assets. It's not like he can just go out spend £400m unless he borrows it.
That money goes in to the club and then out on players. People make money by buying clubs cheap and selling them expensive - usually.
I'm not "picking" on anyone! Meanwhile, back to the thread, I still maintain that we do not need to buy a "big name" striker. A loan (Powell, Campbell?) to the end of the season would undoubtedly strengthen our squad & is all we need.
Where did he get £400m from then? The dividends don't add up to anything like that and his salary won't be much.
