I have it on good authority that Josh Tymon is starting on Saturday, if he is great for the lad and encouragement for the rest of the youngsters.
I heard the same on Monday, he's got a lot to learn but if nothing else it means Robbo gets a rest. We might also see Luer and maybe Clark on the bench. Clark is the new reserve team captain after Dixon left, it's usually an indicator of who is going to be the next to break through (although in this case with Tymon it's not).
I'll look forward to it if that's the case! As long as it doesn't weaken us too much, got yo have faith in SB & Pennock though & it hopefully starts us producing our own!
Hope this is true too. Not sure who is the youngest now, but I remember Matt Edeson coming on as a sub v Fulham (circa 1992) and he was 16 and (I think) the youngest player up to that point. Gav Gordon v Coventry away too in the League Cup – think he was 16/17
Willo was only just turned 17 when he made his debut. And considering Iain Hesford was the previous incumbent, it really should have been whilst still 16.
Edeson according to Wiki, 16 & 63 days v Fulham 10th October 1992 https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Hull_City_A.F.C._records_and_statistics
Yes he will have a lot to learn but I hope City have him contracted for 3 years otherwise someone with a better ranked academy could come and steal him for peanuts. Seem to remember Reading doing this to us in last couple of years. Can't remember players name so don't know of progress.
