Bamford had a good season at Middlesbrough, what's to say he'll repeat that? Campbell hasn't gone on to achieve much since that one decent season. We got Anne Diamond and Akpom with no experience, why should we add a third? Academic anyway as I think he'll hopefully sign for Norwich.

You don't want a striker who scored 17 goals in the Championship last season, but you fancy a striker who was so poor in the Championship that he was transfer listed after just nine games?

As a back up. Look at his record quick, direct, scored 1 in 3 in the league below the one we currently play in. Other players like Austin have been written off early in their careers - good job they weren't cast aside.
Except those goals, for two different clubs, in this league. We would benefit from a similar ratio of return and I think two precedents bode about as well as can be hoped for.
It's not early in his career, he's nearly 26 and was ****e when he got his chance in the Championship, I wouldn't sign him if he was free, wanted no wages and offered to give me a lift to and from every game.

Bit harsh to include Diomande in the 'hasn't accomplished anything' column. He's had roughly the same amount of first team time as Greg Luer has.
