I've no idea why Crouch keeps being discussed, not only is he on £90k a week, but he won't drop to the Championship either, might as well discuss signing Remy.

No, he's a donkey.

I merely used Crouch as an example of an experienced striker I'd prefer to see us sign ahead of Bamford, if there is actually anything in that Bamford rumour.

Yeah. He wouldn't fit our style of play at all.

Not that we are likely to ever sign a player of his quality. He's got a career record of 1 in 4 (league), mostly in the top flight and has totalled career transfer fees in excess of £43m

Crouch is anything but a donkey.

Palace are allegedly interested in Diame. If so, should we sell and if so for how much?

I wouldn't. I'd sell Huddlestone if anything at this point. I still think he's a good player but he's not needed here evidently. Anything north of £4 million and we should sell him and put the money towards a striker.

Ridiculous. His record this season is 2 goals in 10 games, but he's only started about 4 of those.

He might've gone down the pecking order at Stoke, but he's still a very capable player.

He can easily get double figures, he does nearly every season.

Agree to disagree. Last time I saw him play he looked past it. If he was a free transfer and wages weren't an issue I'd say we should sign him but not a permanent or loan move with us paying a significant chunk of his 90 grand wage packet every week. Much prefer Bamford.

Fraizer Campbell once had a decent season in this league, not done a great deal since, scoring wise. One Summer does not a swallow make.
At this stage, it's all about experience, which is something we severely lack.

I'd be grateful for any striker, but an experienced one would be more beneficial.

Aye, Campbell had just oodles of experience when he scored those goals for us, didn't he.
