Hello Staines nice to read your once a season informative post to me? Actually, i am not ITK but heard and read that Charlie was over the moon being at QPR and after the play-off final wanted to be at the club (and why not from non league to Premiership). The club were then talking about a contract. (it was well documented at the time). I then heard Harry in an interview when questioned on that, saying we will sort contracts out at a certain time (which should have been straight after the play-off final.
The fact is, like most things at QPR they seem to take forever or cock it up. During and after the play-off was a special time for players /fans/club and Austin would have signed a contract. They left it and the rest is history.
Like with Remy, another cock up.
But forget what i say as i don't know 'Sweet FA' i will leave you with Rodney Marshes thoughts on it.
"Charlie Austin £4mill ? like I said worst piece of business in 20 years [HASHTAG]#qpr[/HASHTAG]"
Or is he wrong as well?
Sorry ELLERS, after reading my original reply to you, it did come over as a bit aggressive. In my defence Id just done a night shift and woken up in my usual foul mood...please don't take it personally as it really wasn't meant like that.
The point I was trying to make, badly, was that in my opinion, it's a bit naive to think the Charlie really held any loyalty to us and that he was ready and willing to sign a new and lengthy contract to stay at ours for his foreseeable future.
He seems to me to be a very clever guy who knows how to play the game and get the fans on his side ( not that this is a bad thing of course) but ultimately, I feel, and it is only my opinion, he would of been looking at a decent move to a far better club long before we were promoted.
As I say mate, only my opinion and sorry for any earlier offence I might of caused you.

you can tell i'm bored today. That's not to you Col.
