I agree totally, I'm just saying that based on Livermores value at the time and his age we had to shell £7 million. Arsenal will hold out for every penny and I think - maybe wrong - their starting figure would be about £5 million. Its a nothing figure in todays terms. And TBF Corry Evans was eons ago...
Livermore had just impressed over a full season in the EPL, helping us to reech an FA cup final in the process. Hayden has played about 5 senior games, mostly in the cups, and to be honest hasn't looked brilliant. You're comparing grapefuit and pink grapefruit.
Isaac Hayden has only made two League Cup appearances for Arsenal and eleven league appearances for us, he's not worth anywhere near £5m. Livermore had played 36 Premier League games and played for England, the two are not remotely comparable.
If you are looking to buy anything, let me know. I'm sure I can sort you out a good deal Hayden worth a punt at up to £500k, the fee to some extent being influenced by the % of the sell on fee to Arsenal I agree with others, comparing Jake with Isaac doesn't make any sense whatsoever
Sheffield Wednesday are set to sign Aston Villa left-back Joe Bennett on loan. Blackburn Rovers are close to signing Bournemouth defender Elliot Ward.
£1m with some add-ons would sort Hayden surely? Not sure we even want to spend that right now- that money would be better spent on a loan fee/wages for a striker to provide more proven back-up to Hernandez
They're both a bit dog tod....bring Elmo back in for the Wednesday game and pump the ball to the back post- he'd have a field day against that midget
I agree; I think in many ways it was used as an incentive to keep him here now....may be a case of Huddlestone out on a free and Hayden in. Can see Davies and maybe Elmo going as well, regardless of the league we're playing in next season.
Liverpool’s Jerome Sinclair, whose contract expires in 6 months, is close to a permanent move to Watford.
If, and I mean if, Brucey can get Allam to stick his hand in his pocket this window which is unlikely, it should be funding the wages of a proven quality striker without exception. If we lose Abel to injury or suspension we well and truly would have a major problem. To expect Diomande, Akpom, Aluko or Luer to step up consistently is a big ask
I read something yesterday saying he wanted to experience life in Spain, I suppose Watford is closer to Spain than Liverpool.
