It's rumoured to 10 million quid for Gayle! If we pay that we're properly getting mugged off.

You wanna talk about being mugged off? £12m for Shelvey. That's daylight robbery.
I can't believe they have forked out that much for him, absolutely gobsmacked.
Nature of the beast, sadly. We made our beds (i.e. got promoted last May) now we've got to lie in it (i.e. pay the going rates or face the inevitable consequences <yikes>)

£10M does seem OTT but it's the way the market is moving. If AN feels he will improve the starting XI and importantly that he would actually sign for us, then it gets my backing. He's gotta be £2-3M better than Grabban hasen't he?

Bah!

Bah!

He would be a slight improvement and he would not have a negative effect on morale.

Whoever puts on that shirt has my backing. What I find disappointing is the calibre of player we're being linked to, reading into what AN said yesterday about having no problems with our transfer targets gives me further proof that those Italian targets were a load of tosh, after all our Chief Scout was head of recruitment at Burnley!

Apparently we have made a bid for SEBASTIAN DE MAIO of Genoa. He is a 6ft 3, French CB. Know nothing else about him or the bid. Just saw the report on Sportswitness

True Dave but we'll all still be waiting for the next titbit of news no matter how ridiculous or far fetched it may be. We're all hooked dude !
Yes, good, rational article, but some people are more 'stoked' up (apologies) by the continual barrage of names linked in the media than others. That's just human nature, I guess. Nobody's wrong or right, it's just how much store people set by these 'itk' (or otherwise!) sources and how credible / realistic they may / may not be.
The MFW article from today carries similar sentiments to the 'Shoot.co.uk' piece.
