That same post notes that other departments have expressed discontent with Koeman.
The manager being upset comes from Koeman's public statements beginning in December that we're the only team in the Prem taking in more than we spend on transfers, and stating that we'll need to spend more or risk falling behind.
The comment regarding the scouts came from CBK, yesterday, noting that youth players are being recommended but not signed, and something strange is going on (to the consternation of the scout):

Regarding the inconsistent messaging, that's just the slightly odd disconnect between Reed's gushing about our intent to break down the doors of the top four, and Ralph suggesting more realistic aims. Could just be two people with one vision but slightly different levels of enthusiasm, still strikes me as an odd note.
