We skimped, we have plenty of money to spend. We could easily of got Clasie and 2 wide players and a forward. But chose not to.

Yes, the point is we were only wiling to spend a certain amount. So should have spent the money wiser.

Exactly. I don't remember too many people complaining at the forwards available of Pelle, Long, Mane, Rodrigues, Tadic (wide forward) and this exciting new Spanish international.
I don't mind Juanmi, it's just he is a 2nd striker. We still basically only had Rodriguez, Tadic as widemen. Mane plays far better upfront for me.

Yes, Mane is best playing as a second striker rather than out wide. Or do you want Mane to be the centre forward in a 4-2-3-1 or a 4-3-3? I think 4-4-2 (Mane up top) or 4-4-1-1 (Mane just behind the centre forward, with no defensive responsibilities) would get the best out of Mane.

I disagree. I mean who knows if some of the data you see out on the web is accurate or not. But every time I see a pseudo balance sheet or financial comparison, I'm confused about why people think we have so much money.

We are not in bad financial straits, but we are not drowning in cash either.

We are becoming a self run club. We only spend what we get in transfers. What happened to the Prem money? If our owner was willing to put money in as well we could easily buy the 3 or 4 players we need.

But Kat is moving away from doing that. On one hand I can see it as a good thing as we won't run up a debt etc. But I can see it making us weaker on the pitch.

Come on Saints let's go on and win this, could be a game changer confidence wise
