If you saw Nigel's interview immediately after we beat Coventry to seal promotion it was obvious he knew he was on borrowed time once we got to the Prem.
Oh yes I remember that , But still , would been nice if he was given a real chance , like I said , we will never know .
We let Adkins down badly imo. He deserves to get more of a chance considering how successful he was.
The sad thing is the sacking came just as it looked like the team were beginning to find their feet, and we got that great draw at Chelsea. I always had a suspicion that Cortese was waiting for Pochettino to agree to come, but as you say, we'll never know.
I guess the manner in which we got rid of Adkins and the ambition of Pochettino was always going to haunt us. Both improved our side, but we had a confident, settled side.
