Good piece with Nigel Adkins in The Guardian tomorrow. Talks about Saints, Schneiderlin, Hammond and his time out of football. Pretty interesting read. http://www.theguardian.com/football...d-trafford-manchester-united?CMP=share_btn_tw
Adkins was very unlucky to get sacked. I think it's a real shame he wasn't given more time . Interesting Hammond is playing under Adkins again. I hadn't noticed he had gone there. Hammond was a clever player for us, a good football brain . I bet he helped schneiderlin quite a lot
There's some kind of Le Tiss vs Eastleigh thing this morning on Soccer AM in case anyone is up and watching!
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...ven-Bilic-insists-win-FA-Cup-finish-four.html A big salute to Bilic who says he'd rather win the Cup than finish top 4 and qualify for the Champions' League. As he says, I can hold up a Cup rather than just point to a league table. The financial directors may not agree with him, but I'm sure fans can relate to that. We still talk about winning the Cup forty years ago, would we have the same enthusiasm for saying that we can remember the moment we qualified for the Champions' League.
Even Jeff Stelling just said that "it is pretty inexplicable" that Eastleigh game isn't being televised.
Strong 45 from McCarthy, although villa are mostly attacking down the opposite flank. Looks strong, composed, quick, works hard and comfortable on the ball. Also seems pretty vocal. Impressed.
