Well I doubt he'll have room to be wet here anymore.

Only good thing is if he doesn't buck up his ideas, there are still clubs who will buy him..maybe not as much as an all firing year (his version of it anyway) but enough to put towards a replacement.

I take it someone else is opening the door in your scenario then?

Good player but we cannot have this anymore.

We need people we can rely on to be fit and to perform.

He fails at the former and a large part of our squad fail at the latter.

Both are no good to us.

He is terrified of being seen for what he is (an average striker) now his mate Suarez isn't there to make him look good.
What percentage of games has he declared himself fit for since Suarez left?

I don't know the stats but I'd imagine his goals per game ratio is better without Suarez than it is with him.

And England too. IF he was injury free I'd still pick him over Vardy and Kane, good as they are. Big if though...

I don't think Sturridge is ****e but I don't think he's that great either tbh Has to be said he's so far up himself he's inside forking out as well let's be fair...

His Suarez season was his best if he can match that then fair enough but his reputation from that season has carried him since as he's made of custard...

Should be sold imo. Good striker who fits our system, but we are paying him a sh!t load to not play. He is a complete burden on our team.
If he was Aguero good, who is also injury prone, it would be different

Whos going to buy him? His potential should be worth 25m minimum but with injuries no one would pay more than 10m for him and then they'd have to at least match his 150k wages..

Not saying that his overall game is as good but his scoring rate per 90 mins is not that far off from Aguero.

Sturridge is a top class striker - it would be a shame if we got rid of them but patience is wearing thin, and he's on massive wages.

When was the last time he actually had a preseason? If I recall correctly, I'm sure he's been injured over the past couple of summers? Perhaps this is just what he needs.

For me I would like to see him prove himself as these wum have accused.

Without Suarez and leading a line has not actually happened except briefly and those brief periods look quality.

But if he can't get off the zipper frame he is going to go down as a huge flop.

I think he's another 3 years after this on his contract?

I can see him doing a redknap type free to spurs and playing more there.

If he played 30 league games say in a season and got 25 goals it'd justify him as a striker.. if he is leading the line.

"In this moment because he didn't have one session with the team, which was the usual plan for this week, he's not available"

I think that sentence tells a story - no more special treatment Danny boy, get over the voices in your head suggesting you can't do this or that but expect to line up in the next game anyway.

Train like everyone else or don't play

    Now there's a good sales pitch <laugh>

"Wanna buy this striker, we want rid of him because we are paying him **** loads of money and he never plays, because he is always injured, and is a complete burden to our team......interested?" :p

He needs psychiatric help rather than physio.

He feels a twinge and goes on the sick. The players of the 70's must look at the likes of him and want to smash him in the grid.
