Adrien Rabiot is also being linked again as our second January signing. He would be an excellent addition IMO. Still very young and super-talented. Tall, graceful, quick with massive potential. With Arteta/Rosicky towards the end of their careers this would be a good time to bring in someone like Rabiot.
Does anybody know if Elneny's work permit issue has been sorted out, because my mate John down the pub can get hold of one of those for £20 and a packet of B&H
Rabiot is a good shout actually. Didn't realised he'd played over 60 games for PSG at the age of 20. Not going to pretend I've watched him week in and week out, but he's a decent tackler, looks comfortable on the ball, strong and has a great range of passing. He's still really young too so he has time to improve. Would PSG sell to us is the real question?
I've also seen that we've been linked with Lorenzo Insigne. He's having a productive season so far. 8 goals and 6 assists in 20 appearances for a left winger isn't too shabby at all. I don't think Napoli would sell him to us midway through the season, though. He's an important player for them. If the rumours were accurate though, would this spell the end of Joel Campbell?
I can't see us going for any more attacking players with Sanchez, Cazorla and Welbeck to come back, but who knows when it comes to Wenger and transfer windows ???
Let's not forget that we have Ox and Walcott that can also play on the flanks too. I have to say. Hypothetically, if we were going to get Insigne to replace Campbell, I would be okay with that. Campbell's done a solid job since he's come into the team, but I'm still not convinced that he's good enough to ever be a starter for us. He's showed that he does have quality, but he does have a tendency to drift in and out of games. Campbell and Insigne are similar ages too, yet the latter is far more productive in the final third. Which is another area where I have question marks over Campbell.
Rumours that we're recalling Gnarby - http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...nabry-recalled-from-West-Brom-loan-spell.html Good news if true as he's barely played for West Brom, which is disappointing. It'll be interesting to see if Wenger keeps him for cover or if he loans him straight out again...
What a waste of time for him, when he could have been playing and getting some game time. He looked good for us so I can't understand where Pulis is saying he isn't at the required level. I'm sure a more suitable coach will get more from him. It's a shame that he couldn't prove himself with us.
I think the bit in bold is the crucial bit - pulis is hardly renowned for developing skilful players or for preferring them to 'clodders' like shawcross
I reckon Gnarby could thrive with some of the attacking players Hughes has brought to Stoke (what a change from the Pulis years!)
It's the one time you want your players to go out on loan to Stoke Unfortunately it didn't stop him from ending up in a Tony Pulis team, oh dear....
I think we should try shopping him to a teams like Norwich or Bournemouth. They play football and I think he'll get playing time with them.
Rumours from Switzerland this morning that Elneny has missed training ahead of an imminent move to Arsenal
