I can think of a lot bigger wastes of cash than that. Falcao is one that spings to mind nowadays.

He's not a bad footballer, just doesn't suit our style of play. I think he'd score for fun in that league.

Still, I'd take a profit. He's not getting a look in here. Even on an U21 night I saw him at the Cinema.

Juventus and Inter Milan want him apparently.

Norwich City(other than Villa) look as certain as anyone to go down. However what happened on Saturday ? Manchester Utd just being dire or Norwich showing some quality ? Either way I still have Norwich to go down and Robbie Brady to be on the move again by next summer.

Ex.Chelsea left back Ashley Cole looks like he is heading off to the MLS to join LA Galaxy.

Ex.Man Utd striker Diego Forlan also wants to try the MLS.

Stoke City midfielder Steve Sidwell (out of contract in the summer) looks likely to be on the move when the January transfer window opens.

Bournemouth look set to beat Watford for Roma striker Juan Iturbe.

Just looking at the football transfer rumours on the BBC website and here are 4 examples: (All copyright belongs to the BBC)

But Southampton manager Ronald Koeman says that Mane would cost £62.5m.

Real Madrid are anticipating a bid from Manchester City for attacking midfielder Isco - but will only sell the 23-year-old for £30m.

The Old Trafford club could also look to Lazio's Brazilian forward Felipe Anderson, 22, and are prepared to pay £30m plus add-ons.

Arsenal are looking at a £42m bid for Borussia Dortmund's Gabon international striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, 26.

To me this is just sheer lunacy if it only partly becomes fact.

It is crazy the money involved. No way on gods earth is that Mane worth £62.5 million
 
Unfortunately every other country knows that TV money in this country is about to go through the roof therefore clubs won't really be any better off because foreign clubs will just think 'well we would usually ask for 20m, but now there loaded we will ask for 40m'. Sad reality of the modern game I'm afraid

It's also sheer lunacy with the second paragraph talking about Man City & then the third paragraph saying,"The Old Trafford club could also look to...." as though Man City play at OT!

Too true. I read recently that far from being a force for financial good in the lower leagues of England, much Premier League money gets used to sustain clubs in France and Germany at otherwise unsustainable levels of income.
