I think Boro, Derby, Brighton, possibly also Reading are going to do everything possible to try and achieve promotion this season, while we're going to amble along hoping for the best and we'll fall short as a consequence. I don't mind being in the Championship, so it's not the end of the world, I just think missing out this season will probably mean missing out for years.
Daryl Murphy won Skybet player of the month for November. Scored in their last game - they beat Brighton 1-0.
DONE DEAL: Preston have signed Manchester United goalkeeper Sam Johnstone on loan for the remainder of the season.
You missed Burnley out OLM. I forecast at the beginning of the season that we would make the play-offs but lose to Middlesbrough. Boro are playing well enough just now to gain automatic promotion but I think it will depend on what we do this month in the transfer market that will determine our fate.
BBC Norwich have offered Inter Milan 10m euros (£7.3m) for their Italy international central defender Andrea Ranocchia. It is understood Norwich have offered Ranocchia a salary in the region of 3m euros per year. The 27-year-old, who has won 20 caps for Italy, has played over 120 times for Inter and was captain last season. But he has been relegated to the bench in the current campaign, in which Inter lead the Serie A table going into 2016.
I'm starting to think we will miss out on top 2 but even though we have been dire away from home, I'd still fancy us in the play offs
We don't need a Jedinak type player at all, we have Livermore and Meyler already. ****ing hell Steve Bruce has worn off on everyone, soon we'll need some more centre halves to play at full back, maybe some more defensive midfielders to play on the wing and use our wingers up front!! We lack any sort of guile or cutting edge. We need someone with a good touch and an eye for a pass. We have missed Robert Koren like **** since he left, we are still yet to replace him. What's Nick Powell doing? Could be a potential cheap loan option.
What a ****ing waste, every time I've seen him he's looked good, he'll probably end up being loaned to one of our rivals and help them to promotion.
Truthfully I don't mind missing out this season either, I enjoy the Championship for its competitiveness, however I too worry that we could be staring into the financial abyss and years out of the top flight if we don't get the PL money back sooner rather than later. Oh and the other thing that really pisses me off is how easy it is for non worthy PL strugglers to pick off your star players each transfer window.
If the Huddlestone to Villa rumour is true, then he can only be going for the ££££££. Why would anyone go there when they are almost certain to be back in the championship next season. Who wants another relegation on their CV?
allam must think everything's Rosey otherwise he'd see it would be cheaper to bin Bruce and get someone to organise and motivate our current squad
