Okay Col ...I bet you a whiskey vs gandt we beat hull

By the way Col ....wasn't it a Konch cross that fell to Phillips to (left with an open goal) pass it brilliantly into the hands of the Huddersfield goalie..only for Henry to miss the rebound header

Well I've driven home much too fast, eaten something, posted a bit on here, taken the dog for a walk and am now watching the Agatha Christie thing on telly which is more horror than mystery.

So with the benefit of a cool down period I can now say with some conviction that I witnessed the most jaw droppingly, mind numbingly, balls achingly dire and baffling performance that I have seen for some time. And I've seen a lot of **** performances over the last 45 years. I have absolutely no idea what the manager or players were trying to achieve. I've seen inept, spineless collapses aplenty, but this was just bizarre.

My favourite moment today was when Clint Hill took one flush in the face towards the end of the game and fell to the floor. It was pretty much right in front of us and all around gasped. Clint clenched and raised both fists whilst prostrate and just got up.

Spot on Stroller

If that had been one of the PL's overpaid overseas contingent they would've been rolling around on the ground for an eternity

Agreed, but what's that got to do with Bottlebank playing no striker and 6 midfielders at home against Huddersfield, with players out of position and much better options on the bench?

I can only assume someone above him is, for whatever reason, demanding certain players play. This is nothing like his Burton team which was high energy, good tempo stuff which is why I thought the likes of Luongo and Gladwin would be well suited to him.

I thought that Scannell changed the game when he came on

He may look as though he's spent all his time since leaving Palace scoffing pies, but he is quick, tenacious and clearly brought on to exploit our weak left hand side

Great free kick from Wells but I was shouting to get someone on the post before he took it. If nothing else there is at least then a defender to tidy up if Green were to fumble the save - having attackers in line with defenders in a wall always gives the attacking side the advantage if the ball were to be spilled by the keeper

Maybe our Chairman could publish a job description and objectives for the DoF role so that we can all see what LF is supposed to be doing as opposed to us all guessing what he should be doing

The fact that it's got football in the title is clearly wrong as we've hardly put a performance worthy of the name since he's been in the role.

I was a supporter of Ramsey until his selections got so unfathomable that it became impossible to back him any more. Today's line-up was every bit as bad, if not worse, than anything Ramsey sent out. Henry was not the worst player on the pitch, but where was he supposed to be playing - and why?

If you put someone on the post you allow the other team to stand where they want in front of the goalkeeper. It was a decent strike but another **** goal from Green's point of view. How many mistakes does the bloke have to make to get dropped?

I see Steve Gallen was sitting on the bench this afternoon ...

Well apparently he's been given the boot this evening. Another nice touch from the club to get rid of good QPR people. Probably done so they can squeeze Ramsay back in.

I was at the game today...very defensive set up, disappointing. Hill and Hall only players I was pleased with, disappointing. The side we finished with should have been the side we started with...disappointing. Just all looking so bleak really.

That's disgraceful

I wonder if Jimmy has a put out this line up deliberately to get a few quid in the Jan window, it's a bit of a Warnock trick.
And an 'Arry trick too.
Just read the whole thread. Depressing read. Trying to infect myself with Beth's belief that we are going to beat Hull. I think we'll get slaughtered if he puts out a team like today!
I am giving JFH until the end of the season in order not to be short termist.
