It's tantamount to an admission that yes, things are bad, but not as bad as being totally ****e - we're not quite at that stage yet! It's interesting that the media is only now picking up on something that the boards spotted weeks ago, which is that ManU were not very good. In fact I remember only a couple of weeks ago that one of the all-knowing pundits (they who shall be worshiped for their knowledge) saying that ManU had every chance of winning the title this season as there were clubs at the top of the Premier League who were punching above their weight. They often went on about how a winning team is built on a strong defence, and ManU were doing very well considering they have not been playing their best (!) Oh the irony - it is actually ManU that are punching above their weight! It's also interesting how callers keep calling into the programmes on 5 Live and TalkShite saying (in their London accents) how LVG doesn't understand playing the ManU way (with flair and excitement presumably). However, when offered the opportunity to have Maureen as manager they can't get him quickly enough. So much for flair and excitement!
