Scintillating stuff from the new-look, attacking West Ham.

Swansea were unlucky to not get a penalty.

    From the BBC football gossip:

Didier Drogba is being groomed as a former Chelsea manager with Roman Abramovich keen to bring the 37-year-old back to Stamford Bridge. (Sun)

Mad Dog speeding up the managerial turnover by recruiting "former managers". I guess he can't take the money with him.

  3. Of course! Drogba as manager, that's bound to cure all of Mad Dog's problems!

Why did none of us think of that?

  4. Phil Neville is claiming that life under Mr Dodgy Barnet is "not as bad" as it was under Moyes!

What a strange thing to say! It's tantamount to an admission that yes, things are bad, but not as bad as being totally ****e - we're not quite at that stage yet!

It's like when a really poor juvenile on this site has it pointed out to him that his team is utterly dreadful, and his only retort is, "Oh yeah! Well, when did your team last win the league?" etc.

It's interesting that the media is only now picking up on something that the boards spotted weeks ago, which is that ManU were not very good. In fact I remember only a couple of weeks ago that one of the all-knowing pundits (they who shall be worshiped for their knowledge) saying that ManU had every chance of winning the title this season as there were clubs at the top of the Premier League who were punching above their weight. They often went on about how a winning team is built on a strong defence, and ManU were doing very well considering they have not been playing their best (!) Oh the irony - it is actually ManU that are punching above their weight!

It's also interesting how callers keep calling into the programmes on 5 Live and TalkShite saying (in their London accents) how LVG doesn't understand playing the ManU way (with flair and excitement presumably). However, when offered the opportunity to have Maureen as manager they can't get him quickly enough. So much for flair and excitement!

Pep to Citeh, pelegrini to the chavs, maureen to manure and van gaal to the scrap heap according to a few of the papers. Sounds like a game of musical chairs.

I think Mourinho is a good enough manager to win playing attacking football. In 2012 Real Madrid scored 127 league goals under his management

And now walcott makes them pay
Very good goal in stark contrast to the 33 mins of crude that preceded it

Goons throwing themselves to the floor like they've been shot
Only one attempt from the goons in 38 mins (their goal) and only 1 attempt on target from city

Ht and goons 2 up when they've only had 2 attempts on goal.
City have been rubbish and the goons very efficient

Without Kompany their £30m centre halves are lost as are City.

Bad news for Arsenal: that's the second season in a row it looks like City will beat them for the Flakiest Member of the Premier League's So-Called "Elite" Trophy.

City are truely awful...how can a team worth that much not bring a save from the opposition keeper?

Stirling is shocking and seems to think football is a non contact sport

Goons unlucky not to be 4 or 5 up
