City haven't scored an away PL goal for more than 400 mins? That's bloody ridiculous when their front 4 cost £160m. What is going on this season?

Navas bottles the opportunity to even take a shot

78 mins gone and City, with Aguero, Silva, Bony, Stirling, Toure, Navas, Debruna (excuse spelling) have yet to make Cech make a proper save...will be his easiest clean sheet ever

On Sunday we could be anywhere between third<party>and seventh :headbang:. As a PL fan, <applause>. As a Spurs fan, :emoticon-0107-sweat.

It's not the despair, it's the hope we can't stand.

I get the London rivalry, I really do, I've supported Spurs nearly 50 years. But this "new money" has really done my head in. So I can't get upset if Arsenal don't lose to Citeh, and rather enjoy it when Citeh and Chelski lose. Take the unfair investment out of those clubs and Spurs may well have had regular top 4 finishes. Yes I am bitter, but more and more that bitterness goes toward Citeh and Chelski for undeserved reward, and Manure and Liverpool for the "entitlement" which the media and pundits associate with them in their "rightful" places at the top of the league. This is why I'm enjoying this season so much, and am so happy that Leicester have done so well.

I agree. The fact that teams other than the 'Sky 4' are giving it a right go is excellent. In the manner of K Keegan "I would love it" if Leicester and Spurs made it into the CL. If we don't, I'm up for it being Watford, Palace, whoever (not West Ham). Why is this season so different and will it last?

Is the difference that Watford, Palace, Leicester, West Ham can afford better players than years ago or that they can afford to employ better coaches? Is Mourinho really a football genius or is he a 1 trick pony who repeatedly manages the richest club in the league and buys players who make him successful? How good is Van Gaal given the amount he's spent and yet United play the most sterile football? Why can't Pellegrini turn City's collection of expensive players into a team when Ranieri, Pochettino, Pardew and Quique Sanchez Flores have done so very effectively and quickly?

Maybe this season isn't a one-off? Maybe the reason why we're so bad in the Champion's League is that the level of coaching and application of tactics in the bigger clubs in this country has been weak for a number of years when compared with other countries. Maybe those clubs have got by domestically by buying the most expensive and talented players and just letting them get on with it. Maybe that isn't enough now against well managed and coached teams? Let's hope that is the case and some level of reward for skill, hard work and intelligence is returning to football. Or it could just be a complete fluke?

  20. Well, the good news is that Arsenal will be keeping Wenger, for at least another season, and Pepe will be going to £ity.

    Mourhino for United.

Not sure who the Chavs will get. Probably Rodgers or Moyes.
