Was a tiny nudge on the first Brighton goal but Sandro went down easier than a cheap whore
If the QPR defender had decided to try win the ball rather than grab hold of Dunk's shirt for the initial header back across would probably have never got to him. Ironic that 2 goals from corners came from the defenders trying to wrestle the man rather than win the actual ball
Tiny nudge my arse. Clear push and the fact that the ref and the linesman didn't see when the rest in the whole stadium clearly saw it was terrible officialdom.
Well I haven't seen any replays, but the fella had his arms in the air and blocked the shot. He may have turned his face away, but I thought it was a pen.
Any other views?

Back turned? Don't make me laugh, he can have his back turned all he like, he's still responsible for where he keeps his arms. Blocking a goalbound shot with your arms is a penalty offence inside the box, back turned or not. Learn the rules before you comment.

Looks like you're in the minority then Klippety, so **** off.
He jumped in to block the shot, his arms didn't move into an 'unnatural' position and he wasn't even looking at the ball as it hit his arm from close range, it has to be 'deliberate' for it to be a penalty and I can't see how you could get that from what I saw, would have been very harsh and if it was against us I've not doubt you would have been raging if it was given!!
What you on about? Deliberate? No mate, preventing a goalscoring oppurtunity with your hands deliberate or not is a penalty. The distance is a mitigating circumstance, and if that is what the ref base his decission on then fair enough.
And yes of course I'd be raging if it was against us. Doesn't make it incorrect.

Pity we reverted back to the Ramsey's two goals a game give away but against Brighton, l can live with it.

It was pretty close and think it hit the back of his hand.I didn't think it was a pen but not sure he hadn't left his arms hanging there in case they stopped the shot. Hard to call. We deserved the 3 points.
His hands were in an unnatural position. He looked like a goalkeeper with both hands up and to the side.
Penalty for me.
I thought the ref was terrible.
From last night's showing Brighton aren't a good team they are a lucky and dirty team. Lots of constant small fouls to break up and disrupt flow of the game. Proper ref would have dealt with it. Instead Instead had an idiot. Having a 30 second conversation with their number 3 in injury time summed up how clueless he was about their tactics.
We are solid enough but if Brighton were lucky Hall is using all our luck. Every single game he makes at least one serious **** up but fortunately they never score no matter how easy the chance so it isn't remembered. 5 mins in he got turned inside out in the box and then same again in 2nd half after not dealing with it. Hopefully it's just inexperience and with this game time he learns quick.
Hoilett again. Improvement on what we are used to but unless he is scoring goals or making assists then he needs to be out the team for Chery who despite barely playing already has almost caught him up in goals scored for the club. Hoilett may be trying a bit harder all of a sudden if after 3 and a half cushy years on ridiculous money then with 6 months to go he's realised **** I need to convince someone else to let me nick a living!! He can't cross and he can't shoot and that's what really matters. He also has no football intelligence perfect example was in final minutes when on the line inside penalty box instead of heading it back in he tried to chest it down whilst jumping backwards off the pitch!! And as usual he gave his usual handful of fouls often in range for them to get a ball in the box.
Another one who needs to contribute is Fer. Not doing enough to justify a start. First touch has become awful. He's had enough games now to sort himself.
With Faurlin Sandro forming a base and Austin up front this team has got a chance of doing well. Defensively we'll be good enough but unless likes of Fer and Hoilett also start providing actual real contributions with goals and assists then we need to look to those who have proven they can contribute where it matters with JET and Chery. Then we'll have a chance of winning games.

I think it's you that needs to read the rules clearly then! A handball needs to be deliberate for it to count.
The law does state that handball has to be a deliberate act, but this is open to interpretation. It's not just deliberately setting out to handle the ball, it's also deliberately placing the arms in an unnatural position so as to increase the chances of blocking the ball.
Echo what many have said. A really entertaining game, and it was refreshing to see us attack with some intent.

To put it simply, he's a liability and I hope we see Smithies in goal sooner rather than later. Green's contract is up at the end of the season and I cannot wait to see him out of the club.

I'm afraid it doesn't that has been removed from the rule book to allow for an unnatural position of the hands /arms
Sorry but it doesn't. If you draw an advantage of having your hand in an unatural position then it is up to the ref to judge if it's a penalty or not.
Why do you think you see so many defenders place their hands behind their back nowadays? It's silly I'll give you that. For me there are nothing more unatural than trying to defend with your hands behind your back.

The ref has to interpret what is deliberate, an unnatural movement of the arms could be seen as deliberate, however jumping with your back turned and your arms close to your body wouldn't be!
