Played ok last season after Bony left , started this season well ...WTF happened ....puzzling to say the least
Maybe it's as simple as playing well while the transfer window is open?
I am sorry, but the more read about recent events the more I am convinced that HuwJenkins and the board have been sleepwalking through the last couple of months concentrating more on what they could withdraw financially from the club than sorting out the mess. How money can turn heads?
Seems like that to me too, I think it all stems from backing Monk to the hilt, and sadly they over spent on a few bad deals with Gomis being the main over spend, what the hell Huw saw in him is anyone's guess......

Where have they backed Monk to the hilt? Tabanou and Eder weren't Monk signings, I'd als bet that Ayew wasn't either as he's never fit the system.

With everything that has drip fed from the club over the last few days the one thing that concerns me is the blasé situation regarding weely wages. I fear that if we are not very careful we will fall into the same trap as we did the last time we were in the top flight. Then we paid silly money to secure big names who in truth were passed their sell by date and did not give value for money, hence consecutive relegation!
The trouble is if we don't offer the wages then nobody decent will sign for us as its all about the money.

More quality and effort in a handful of minutes today than his last ten games for Gomis .

The club has lost focus, it is so easy with the money now on offer, it's been a big wake up call, and hopefully lessons will be learned.........
5 minutes doesn't make a season and for me he still is not what he want, the laziness and poor finishing far out wait the little bits he does ok.

Why does everyone hate him this season he played 17 scored 6. Some as sub, maybe service is not good enough i like him.
