Could have been worse, I didn't see the draw as was at the U21 game, but my son told me with 3 balls left to draw out there was a 1 in 3 chance of us getting Man City, so to get Brighton at home can't be bad.
Philip Buckingham @PJBuckingham Worth noting that #hcafc's Championship game v Brighton on Jan 30 will be postponed. That's FA Cup 4th rd weekend so one team will be busy.
Nowt to do with the fa cup but made me laugh and doesn't deserve its own thread Aston Villa To Be Double Relegated please log in to view this image Aston Villa are sensationally on the verge of being double relegated. Should the Midlands team finish in the bottom three this season, the FA have declared their intention to relegate Villa straight past The Championship, into the 1st division. “Yes it’s unprecedented,” said FA chairman Greg Dyke. “But have you seen them play? Come on, that isn’t football. It isn’t football and we need to stamp it out, whatever it is.” “Kids shouldn’t be seeing that,” added Mr Dyke. Match-of-the-day pundit Mark Lawrenson believes the FA are not going far enough. “Why stop at two divisions?” said the former Liverpool defender. “Why not three or four? Maybe even boot them into the Conference? At times it’s like watching 11 psychotic penguins chasing a football. No coordination, no tactics. It’s not right.” Aston Villa are said to be furious with the proposed move, and have vowed to fight the FA “tooth and nail” through the courts should the double relegation happen. “They’re making it up as they go along,” said club owner and chairman Randy Lerner. “Look, I’m not blind. We are absolute dirt. I watch us play and my throat fills with vomit. But you can’t have a made-up rule for one team just because they’re bombing around the pitch like a bunch of ostriches on LSD.”
Very true. Don't care if we win or lose. Just don't want a replay one little bit. Same as us more than likely. Last but one drawn out of the hat unlike last year when we were 2nd. It is one of the worst ties of the 3rd round. Will get little media attention I suspect. Some cracking ties elsewhere like,,, those that stand out for a variety of reasons IMO are:- Salford City / Hartlepool v. Derby Co. EXETER CITY v. LIVERPOOL (tie of the round and what the fac is all about) Tottenham v Leicester City Northampton Town v. MK Dons Wycombe v Aston Villa (Lambert special) Oxford Utd v Swansea City Eastleigh v Bolton Doncaster v Stoke City TWS v Rotherham (Evans/Redfern re-match)
Most of us already know that the home championship game with Brighton scheduled for 30th January has been postponed as it is FA Cup 4th round weekend. One of us will be in that round. However, Looking at the other rounds / dates, another good cup run will see more home games postponed. FA Cup 5th round is the weekend of 20th February when we the Tigers are due to host Nottingham Forest. FA Cup 6th round(qtrs.) is the weekend of 12th March when the Tigers are due to host MK Dons. FA Cup 7th round(semi's) is the weekend of the 23rd April when the Tigers are due to host TWS.
The fourth round draw will take place at 7.15pm tonight live on the one show. We are ball number 32 for anyone who's interested.
Great possibilities for a cracking draw. However if we are to be drawn @ home let us have Liverpool or Exeter City as either will be easy enough for our fringe players to beat. It is About time that Klipperty Klopp paid us a visit as well.
Not a bad draw, another chance for another run to Wembley. It'd be an amazing experience if we could do it again, maybe this time win it. Still let's not get too far ahead of ourselves. One game at a time & priorities must be the league!
Bury / Bradford City away. Great chance of another win and being in the hat for round 5 on the w/e 19/20/21 feb.!!! but,,,...... We were so close to a trip to Colchester United as well.
