I don't want them to do well unless they are playing in a league intended for Welsh teams, I hate the fact that Welsh teams play in this league yet the two Scottish giants are overlooked. Some pissy little arse flap of a team from Wales get to hoover up Sky money, yet Celtic and Rangers, two teams with colossal history are thrown scraps. I know who I'd rather have in this league and I don't even like Scots, if I had a choice I'd not have any of them in.
Fair enough. I wasn't even going so far as to consider Swansea in detail more just a generic "here's a club who have come up from lower leagues and aren't just defending every game" in a similar vein to Wigan, Blackpool, Bournemouth, etc. Think it freshens it up not to just have the same teams coming up and going down each year but some fans do go on as though they have personally masterminded the rise of their teams. It's just odd. Swansea beat Man Utd a couple of times but I know who I expect to be winning more trophies in the next few years. Newcastle obviously.
They bang on and on about having 'an identity' and playing sideways football, well, jesus, we've been playing that for a few months under Van Gaal and I tell you now mate, I'd not be shouting about our new found 'identity' from the rooftops, it's like getting teeth pulled. When all your club aspire to is to stop the other team having the ball and kill the game from the first to the last minute, well, we might as well pack up and call it a day. I'll be glad if they go, the Barcelona-lite joke has ran on for far too long and they're just boring and stale now.
There's been a steady stream of supporters, on here, from the likes of Wigan, Swansea, Blackpool, Barnsley, etc, over the years. All with the same story about how a club should be run and how they're here to stay. I just laugh at them as they go back down where they came from.
I went off Wigan with the response to this challenge: Bad challenges happen and there have been worse but two days later... Wigan chairman Dave Whelan's claims that McManaman had taken the ball "clean as a whistle". Meanwhile Martinez first reactions to it were to say he thought people were going on about it too much and as Mcmanaman was English they should leave him alone. Was glad to see them slide away after that.
" .......... the likes of Wigan, Swansea, Blackpool, Barnsley, etc, over the years." Yeah I know mate, but I can hold a grudge for decades
I remember being pasted by Swansea supporters on here for suggesting Monk would be sacked by Christmas for being incompetent .......... if he has been sacked he'll never manage a Premier League side ever again. Just another Dave Jones with a dafter haircut.
Has he actually been sacked? What a fall from grace. Absolute shambles of a manager, he's been in auto-pilot since he took over, then a bit of turbulence and he's lost the ****ing plot, I'd love them to nose dive out of this league. Not sure why I used a pilot/aeroplane analogy
According to the BBC football Website the Swansea Chairman is quoted as saying no decision on Monks future will be taken today, looks like a sleepless night for Gary then.
Why though? I quite like Swansea and personally wouldn't want them relegated (even if I don't think they belong in the ENGLISH league system!)
Probably because of the 3 drones you have spying on my shed, you ****ing timber freak.. Hey it's only wood marra, plenty of ****ing trees out there for you to remake Dubai in yer back garden.. Think positive Terry, wood rules ok! Only the stupid wood argue that..
Not seen he's been sacked anywhere. Matter of time though I'd have thought. Signed pretty well in the summer too. Well run club, failed experiment with Monk.
You've converted yours to a sauna, I was watching you in it last night, you were sat there with a cup a soup and a copy of Fiesta with nowt on. Upmarket sheds are way out of my league.
Yeah yeah, I like sitting in my shed starkers with a copy of fiesta (you obviously missed the lubricating cream and pussy galore doll)..
Starting to panic yet? Scoring less than a goal a game, relegation battle and Monk looking out of his depth?
