Brucey seems to hold the view that we have four strikers at the club, Hernandez, Aluko, Diomande and Akpom. On current form we clearly only have one, here's hoping Diomande hits the ground running, if not we have a problem as I don't believe these four alone are clinical enough and Brucey seems to be opting for the no one in, and no out policy during the January window. The problem is made worse in that few other players score often enough. We have a great squad but personally feel we are lightweight up front.

We're ****e up front. Bruce in the summer said Akpom was frighteningly good. I'd hate to see us play with poor strikers.

Akpom seems to have an attitude problem. Aluko no longer up to it at this level. How long is Diamande out for - and how long will he take to get up to speed? Will Abel be fit for the weekend? That leaves us with Luer.

I don't disagree, but Brucey seems to think otherwise?

I might have mentioned before but he has a thing for taking pacey wingers and ruining them by trying to make them into strikers. We played about 6 different wingers up front last season at one point or another. The list of quick nippy players who do nothing for us but look awesome everywhere else is alarming.

We have had a problem with strikers almost all the time since Brucey arrived. We got promoted with a midfielder as our leading scorer, and then looked woefully light in the Premier league until, to his huge credit, he signed Long and Jelavic who I think kept us up in that first season. But since Long left its been a struggle again.
Of course he's been unlucky with Diomande and it's easy with hindsight but cant help wishing we had held on to Liam, meaning no need to sign Moses (who I like but cost us a lot) and had we done so, we might have been able to go higher with a bid for Andre Gray. And it's hard to believe that Chuba Akpom will score as many goals between now and end of season as James Wilson.

Feel we need at least one in during January even if Hernandez stays, but I winder if Brucey will see it that way.

Diomande has yet to show - Akpom has gone into a typical teenage sulk and Aluko looks rusty.
Hernandez is injured and Luer way too in-experienced for a game like Leeds away.

imo, At least one New striker will arrive in January. Worse things are happening in the world atm to worry about a couple of football results.

Spare a thought for what is going on in Cumbria atm.

Hull City are 4th and we are not even at the half-way stage yet.

10 days ago most were salivating at what the team were doing.

Inexperience is sometimes a great thing. If Abel is still injured then Luer has to start on Saturday.

Don't think anyone claimed that our lack of firepower was worse than homes being flooded. :emoticon-0112-wonde

Thankfully it is only Bolton on Saturday so I tend to agree with you.

TWS were dirty in places and the only thing of note that was good from Akpom came when he kicked that Leeds player and he got away with it. <laugh>

No. But the way a few are going on you would think it was. The nee naw crew were on melt down over the weekend. <laugh>

'Only Bolton', a bit like it was only Bristol and only Leeds.

If we play like we have in the last three league games Bolton won't go home empty handed.

We wont. Especially after the Derby and Leeds games.

As for Bolton you obviously did not see them last Monday against Brentford. It is easy to see why they are bottom.
We have a history of giving a helping hand to those stuck at the bottom. Off the top of me head Burnley, Peterborough, Leicester, Palace? in recent years.
