Hard to disagree with any of that.

Plus maybe Livermore can't keep up the energy levels he set when he was just "grateful to be back".

Livermore is having to cover double the ground he was now Thudd is lumbering around in midfield, that i suspect has effected his performances since his hunting partner Meyler got injured. When playing in the Premier League together Livermore`s performances always improved when Thudd either wasn`t playing or went off.

I think we probably do, but they just look totally different hanging back desperately clinging on for a clean sheet, rather than taking a chance at the other end and trying to score a goal.

    Just look at Robbie Brady.

Robbie Brady's never looked happier but to be fair to Bruce and his tactics he did look decent for us towards the back of end of last season when a lot of them seemed to go missing

We were an attacking force for a few games. We dismantled Middlesbrough for example.

He's cleary done it to motivate Tom. A gift if you like, to see if he can step up to the plate after 18 months of ****e performances. It was a good idea in theory, genuinely nothing wrong with trying everything, it just hasnt worked and it's time to drop him.

I doubt Bruce thought Huddlestone was ****e for 18 months otherwise even he would have dropped him much earlier. The trouble is Bruce clearly sees decent performances from him when they aren't happening.

So we - those of us who believe Hudds has a style of play detrimental to our overall performance - are out of kilter with the thinking and appraisals of Bruce, Phelan and the rest of the coaching staff? Are the majority of the playing staff in agreement with their coaches or does their displayed motivation signal more sympathy for our view. Or is there dissent through both groups, coach and player?

Whatever your thoughts, it must be recognised that something is wrong with tactics and team selection; round peg square hole syndrome, early substitutions to fix that (so not really necessary in the first place), players praised then overlooked, anger at unnamed players without any real clarity of who did what wrong.

Before players can be pilloried for their individual performances, it would be good if the head coach could select a team that plays them in a manner that allows reasoned criticism. The only times we have had that type of team selection, the critical comment of both manager and supporters has been gushing in both praise and positives of developing players - now we are both negatively critical - but some of us, can see through the misdirection of a manager who is tactically inept when the team does not pick itself.

What a load of absolute drivel! We play better football without Huddlestone and Davies (two players who joined the club to get into the England team) Davies always looks half asleep and panics when it comes near him and we might aswell stick a cone in midfield as play Huddlestone.

Come on Bruce, if we're short of centre backs, time to dip into the u21's by recalling Aimson or Clappison from their loans!

Bruce use young, hungry players over old past it chumps who can't be arsed anymore and struggle to even run.

    You don't know Bruce much?

,Elmo in the HDM this morning say its wasn't the attitude of the players that cost city the game on Saturday, if that's the case then I'd love to know what what the reason was, it would appear that this article and SB post match interview with Burnsy are at odds with each other, just wondering if there's something going on, off the field, just find it strange that on Saturday SB slams the attitude of the team, come Monday Elmo in the press saying nothing wrong with the teams attitude .

Fair enough OLM, then this articles at odds with his own tweet at the weekend were he says the managers right to slam the team(some of them at least) regards there attitude.

Maybe Elmo is right, nothing wrong with the attitude, maybe certain players are just s**t....I can think of 4 off the top of my head now.
