Another mass shooting in the US, this time in a Disabilities Centre :( 12 already reported dead. For an advanced country America sure is stupid where gun laws are concerned.

Clearly the victims are to blame here. Had they all been armed to the teeth and trigger happy massacres like this wouldn't happen.

14 now apparently and 40+ injured. They say there could have been 3 shooters who were kitted out with body armour etc.
So so messed up.

Just to lighten up the subject matter for a moment, I have a guilty secret. Bearing in mind that I try not to watch too much rubbish, when I first got into a bit of streaming TV, back in about 2005 [I think it was, maybe a bit later] there were a couple of shows that I would practice the bandwidth on [ie, use as test]. One of them was The Late, Late Show with Craig Ferguson. You may not have the merest idea of who I'm talking about, but he quit at the end of last year and the relatively no-talent James Corden replaced him. I watched a few shows, for old times sake, and it's nowhere near as good.

So there I was rummaging around Youtube and I found a stack of Craig's interviews on there. Here's a typical example of him getting the chemistry right with a guest. What do you think.? At least I've got that guilty secret off my chest. No more skeletons left:

Thank you for getting this far. Carry on.
I absolutely LOVED his show. The quality of his interviews was and remains exceptional. None of the usual pre-planned nonsensical film-plugging, but genuine conversations with a guest. A joy to watch. I'm just sad I only discovered the show on Youtube early last summer.

Also... WHO'S THAT AT THE DOOR?

The government wins the air strikes vote comfortably. Apparently Hilary Benn gave an extraordinary speech. Hoping to see it in full at some point.

I tell you what. Now the decision has been made, I just hope all the crews from all our allies get back home safe and sound. I dread to think what will happen if any are captured by those barbaric bustard.

The trouble with Cameron he only does the easy things. In our midst ore several hundred men who would derive the greatest of delight in killing each of us. That needs to be resolved and quickly. He needed to address the issue of sugar in soft drinks but caved in to the soft drinks industry even though all the evidence indicates that a sugar tax has a most positive effect on children's health. Our city is full of people sleeping in the parks and shop doorways, alcoholics and beggars and we are not alone as I have witnessed the same in London and other cities. Alan Whitehead is a decent man but if you think I would ever agree with anything Royston Smith or Caroline Nokes said or did you would be very wrong. The Tories and their banker friends have wrecked the country and handed it to the rich leeches and **** the rest of us.

It's bizarre. Americans are genuinely afraid of foreign terrorists, to the extent of opposing taking in even a handful of Syrian refugees; yet they still cling to their 'right to bear arms' despite the very real possibility of getting taken out by a homegrown psycho with an assault rifle.

Thank goodness I am an old git and not long for this world. I have never felt so depressed or frightened by the state of the world or what the future holds. You guys with a long life ahead of you had better start fighting for the future you want or it is "Brave New World" here we come.

One of the most depressing things about yesterday evening (and I include the incident in the US as part of this) - I've always wanted kids, but as yet that hasn't happened. Last night was the first time I genuinely began to think, maybe that's a good thing. It's all terribly sad.
