The top search term this year on Yahoo was Bobby Kristina Brown. Really!! Had scarcely heard of her before she joined that list of souls lost to drugs and generally being spoilt. Very sad (as was the death of Peaches Geldof) mainly because a life was lost without actually doing anything, but important...no! Most of other top ten searches were also for people famous for being famous. FYI...they did not count porn searches...I know you were all thinking that.
As it is my wife's birthday today I treated her to lunch at the Hunter's Lodge at Priddy. Cauliflower cheese for £4.95, I know how to give a girl a good time! Had a brisk walk down Ebbor Gorge afterwards and blew a few cobwebs from last night away. Life isn't so bad really!
No politiician would or could dare. Its too ingrained in their constitution. As such, I do understand why they can't, as much of a no brainer as it looks to us. I definitely don't understand why they're so into guns. It's hugely cultural, and so really we can't understand, nor really criticise.
It's just incase we decide to go and reclaim that colony we gave up ... well, that's what I tell them anyway.
I don't think he did it for that reason . I do agree that Corbyn looked un-happy ! http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-34994457
I wondered why they didn't go towards them as well. If I was being cynical I might wonder if they had planted them there knowing they would swim out to them. Couldn't tell if they were Turkish Vans, not sure they were white enough.
Back to the bombing debate of yesterday - I've been thinking about alternatives to bombing. How about this? IS want a fight, they want a war, it’s the only reason they exist. Every religion, race or country that fights them makes them stronger and encourages more people to join them. The UK is now spending £0.5m per bombing run (nice we have the money – another story) so any undecided possible IS recruits will have now had their minds made up. Mr. Cameron said the bombing may have a negative effect in the short and medium term, it’s a shame there is no long term on his agenda. To stop IS you have to stop people joining them, without recruits they will fade and die. So don’t spend billions bombing them, spend billions helping all the peoples of Syria, Iraq and Libya. If there is nothing to fight against there is no reason to join them and they will fade away. They only exist because there is a cause. Do you think bombing a far off land will protect the UK from an attack from British radicals? Is it hard to find a few weapons in the UK? The Government has ignored the knowledgeable advice and opted for the we’re still a world power approach. Only time will tell.
Too cynical...couldn't guarantee the kittens would swim out...more likely to scramble up the bank again.
Wondered what you were all going on about....the men didn't look Turkish to me. Looked them up...usually all white or white with coloured heads and tails...not like these kittens at all.
You're completely disregarding the utter hatred that the Sunni and Shia tribes, and their various factions, have for each other. More so than they have for the west (and that's before we get to Israel). Money won't cure an ideology based in historical religious fervour, no matter how nice you make the surroundings.
Ulster county sheriff releases a statement to it citizens. Yes thats exactly whats needed now. A bunch of paranoid 'muricans getting encouraged to arm themselves and go vigilante the moment they perceive a threat.
It's easy to use the phrase "cultural difference" when talking about guns in the USA without really considering what it means. The simplest way to experience it is to really start paying attention then ask an American "If you want to stop all these shootings, why don't you ban guns?" Four times out of five you'll see a flash of utter incomprehension fly across their face, the sort of look you'd get if you asked "why are aardvarks in charge of the government in the USA" - a sort of "Whaaaaat?" moment. The question is outside their frame of reference and it takes a few moments for them to grasp what you're suggesting. The one in five will have the same view as you. So, instead of thinking Americans are stupid (which they definitely aren't) be aware that it's a cultural difference that makes then answer this question from Gallup: please log in to view this image Vin
