Stability, what would most of you accept and tolerate as having some stability?
Genuine question. I will not pretend to be an expert on how our or any club should be run and I don't have the answers. Yes I/we all want some foundations to be laid at QPR, just for once a master plan that the club should stick to.
So we get a manager in and get relegated to League one and stay there a couple of years to regroup and lay some foundations. Is any manager/coach going to be kept on to do this after being relegated? No
Get a manager in and have a few seasons of mid table championship mediocrity? Again I suspect the manager/coach would be replaced for someone to come in and try taking us to the next level. So this leaves us in a vicious circle of trying our luck with new coaches/managers I'm afraid with none of that magic word stability
Sadly it's not just us, the money which has and is ruining the game is making it very hard for small clubs like us to find the winning formula. Sure it can be done and likely done better than our board have managed or in our case should I say mismanaged.
I always try my best to look on the bright side, be a glass half full type. The reason for my current QPR gloom is based on a proven track record of knee jerk decisions from the bods in our boardroom.
I most likely will be very underwhelmed by our next appointment. I very much hope not and whoever it is I will back them until the next one anyway.
