Yeah, there's an estate at the end of the lane. It's pretty rough and I took a cab through there this evening.
Great win for Eastleigh at the weekend knocking out league opposition. Hoping they get Pompey tonight and we'll have the winner
If they get Pompey at home, will the police insist on coaching in the away fans? Interesting dilemma regarding the potential for serious trouble at such an encounter.
I'd imagine they would 'bubble' it yeah, was discussing it with a mate last night and you could imagine around 6000+ Pompey fans making their way to Eastleigh regardless of tickets. Plus I'm sure there would be a welcoming party of sorts as well. Hampshire police must be hoping it doesn't happen as it would be a nightmare to police!
The second round is also set for the 5th December when we are at home to Villa. I am sure it will have to be played on a different day.
Could the police even insist it is played at a different ground given it would be a nightmare to police so close to the M27?
Possibly. Don't suggest that though incase they start to look for a decent ground within a few miles of Eastleigh....
Maybe we should have a vote on who we'd rather play in the 3rd round - Eastleigh or Pompey? Either way is a guaranteed sell out!
