The BBC coverage was very one-sided. It was hard not to get behind Salford though, 59 places seperate them! Wouldn't it be brilliant if they get through to the third round and draw Manchester United!?
Especially as that would mean we hadn't. I wouldn't mind Saints drawing Salford at SMS though Would piss Salford off though....lovely though we are, I appreciate that any little side that gets to the third round is not dreaming of playing us.
The events were fitting the narrative very nicely for Auntie with their documentary. Which featured a 2-0 away win for Lancaster City at (9 man) Salford. #coydb
I enjoyed the documentary, but am I the only one who thinks this is just another case of rich owners on an ego trip destroying the heart of a football club. I started off thinking about their involvement as positive but changed as the first episode went on. I think the fact they only had 3 players left who started the season shows how the team was no longer in touch with the fans - which is what non league football is all about. Just to say, what has happened to Salford left a nasty taste in my mouth.
Oh dear, Lloyd Isgrove missed an absolute sitter which would have saved Barnsley from defeat at Altrincham.
I have manflu don't forget.... It's a badly carved woodpecker who is a professor and therefore really should have been an owl... Yes. The woodpecker. Dopey me
