Just picked up on the web that Fraser Forster could be back next month!!! Four months early - that would be amazing if true!
Not true. He said Forster has started goalkeeper training with Dave Watson. His actual words were... I don't say he'll be back in 4 weeks, but it's going good.. Check out the Press Conference Extra on Page 6 of the Match thread for his words. He confirms that it isn't 4 weeks after further questioning. Still, the press won't let the truth get in the way of a good story.!
http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/sa...on_s_youngsters__insists_Ward_Prowse/?ref=rss JWP saying that Koeman hasn't forgotten the youngsters, but it is very hard for a young player to reach the standard of the present first team. Just what we've all been saying.
Meh. Even Ron's bloody reading our views and copying them now! (Ron, read down if you're looking) . . PLAY DUSAN ON THE LEFT!!!!
While absolutely true, it's also possible to mix them in at higher levels (he-who-shall-not-be-named has demonstrated that this year), and there's little doubt that Koeman is more hesitant to play kids than some of his predecessors, even in the cups. However, Koeman is also more hesitant to rotate his squad, period, so it's not just youth.
I wonder how much Marshall would cost in January or at the end of the season. Still looking a top goalkeeper.
http://outsideoftheboot.com/2015/11...on-products-bale-walcott-and-shearer-feature/ This football blog site is doing a series of the best academies in world football. (Modestly) it's little shock that we're featuring. This is written by a saints fan and is his top 10 players since 2000.
I've just seen the highlights of Cardiff v Reading. It was almost Marshall v Reading apart from Cardiff's two goals. I did mention Marshall the season they went down. Happy we have Stekkers now though.
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...tml?ITO=1490&ns_mchannel=rss&ns_campaign=1490 Fonte (bless 'im) still dreaming of the Champions league.
Well, despite what the Fail headline said, even Koeman didn't rule it out. He said it would be hard, not unrealistic or impossible. You keep dreaming Jose.
http://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2015/11/0...n-bertrands-superb-displays-pile-further-mis/ Article questioning the sense in Chelsea letting Bertrand go. Even Ryan might struggle in the Chelsea team...he's probably better in a team with class players.
Ever since Ryan has been with Saints he's shown enough form and class to make pundit and supporter alike wonder why they let him go. Truth is, he got fed up with being told he was needed by them and then loaned out for the season. At least, that's what he has said in Saints interviews, and now he calls St Mary's home and he feels Southampton are his club. So Chelsea are guilty of not taking enough care to keep a very good player, who felt increasingly cheesed off by their attitude. They've lost a LB who, in my opinion, is Azpilicueta's equal, at least. I think I'm right in believing he's an RB too, who Mourinho plays at LB, so that must have irked Bertrand somewhat.
I fully appreciate this is the Daily Fail. They are writing that Nicola Cortese has no interest in buying out Leeds Utd. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...er-waits-right-option-returning-football.html It says he is waiting for the right club. Jeez, do you think it might be us.? Only kidding. Who would it really be.? A relegated Aston Villa perhaps.?
Or a foreign club? He also has to find a billionaire who let's him get on with it without interference from a board.
Azpilicueta is certainly right footed. Last season I think he just edged Ryan as the best LB. Not this season so far.
