What about people who struggle to stand for 2 hours ?

We seem to have a lot of them whereas other clubs seem to take 3,000 away none of who have these difficulties or who get to the front. I can't stand for two hours, at least not in an all seater stadium with nothing to lean on but could if we had safe standing with rails on each row( not that we will see those introduced, too many fans and the police going on about returns to terrace battles and dangerous surges despite the fact the rails making it safer standing up than doing so in an all seater stadium and the fact a rail,on each row making this impossible). However
I just have a sit down now and again without making a great fuss. Always try to get a seat next to an aisle as you can see round people better if I have to sit down. But missing odd bits doesn't bother me too as I don't treat football matches like a trip to the theatre or the library.

Iv had it before where your belittled by your own fans for wanting to sit and watch the game without standing up every 2 mins

Then your made out to not be a REAL fan if you don't stand ,

nah not for me , I'll leave it to the pumped up over testosterone alpha males to prove there better fans

I noticed on Tuesday night, Leicester had one block at the front of the North stand side that were sat down and the rest were all stood, presumably they sell the tickets in such a way as to allow this to happen. I don't understand why all clubs don't do it, it's something that's been suggested at FWG meetings in the past.

Noticed similar with other clubs, Norwich and Everton for example amongst others on MOTD.
Unfortunately we have the sort of fans who will say it is their right not to have a poorer view lower down and demand seats higher up and if that means everyone else sitting down so they can see so be it.

Whatever it says in a three year old article in the the Daily Mail, the current rule is 10%, as per the link posted.

How do you market 'standing' tickets without being seen to encourage fans to break ground regulations? Sort of by a nudge and a wink?

Basically yes, you obviously can't say tickets are standing, so you just offer the front ones for fans 'who prefer less boisterous support' or similar.

Indeed. Looks like it was changed this season to 10 percent, as this definitely points to it being 15 percent last season:

Strange that Chelsea were complaining about only being allocated 4,000 tickets, which was just over 10% of the capacity in that case. Unless it has been altered since.

Maybe Man Utd and Stoke haven't read the alteration in rules.
Somehow Liverpool have got away with offering 2,800 to some clubs.

I knew it used to be 15%'as I remember the row about the allocation at Newcastle.

I questioned where you had "read" that because I had information telling me we weren't televised at all. Sky like to show PL teams away to lower sides meaning Boro Vs Everton looked more likely than our game. Southampton Vs Liverpool was always going to be picked as Liverpool give bigger TV ratings than man City.
