It's when he runs with the ball, nine times out of ten straight into the full-back, that you see how lacking in technique the guy is. I'd love nothing more than for him to smash in 20 goals and have a great season but having done next to nothing for over three years, I'm not expecting much.

I think it's a myth he was much good at Blackburn based on three or four good goals.
Goals change games - and people. Let's see if it gives him a boost to start a scoring run.

Disagreed with Toszer and overall he had a bad game but did have 2 isolated useful contribution's one of which a corner (but he's taken about 15 of those this week and 14 of which hit the first man.

Henry also shouldn't have played and did nothing to justify his selection.

I would say we won despite Ramsey not because of him. His selection's lowered our probability of winning and but for Green we might have lost

We've got some very good players for this level and they managed to secure the victory against a poor side despite our managers decisions to handicap us by picking a player who doesn't contribute

Who picked Green to start? So if Ramsey hadn't picked Green we might have lost?

Out of the the 28 players involved Henry is behind 26 in the ratings, 12 of them from the side losing 3-0. I find that very hard to believe. There is absolutely no doubt there's a vendetta going on. I find it disgusting and has nothing to do with supporting your club. Shame on the people who boo their own players. I struggle to think of a more thick thing to do if you want your team to win. Mind-boggling stuff.

Eh? That’s not a point. It’s him or Smithies and his mistakes have been clear and obvious. Unlike Henry he cant hide away and not get involved. So its hardly a masterstroke and if anything being fortunate enough to pick players at the level of Green is only emphasising the point that with the individuals available we should be performing much much better than we are.

Eh? It's exactly the point Peter. I'm just picking a phrase from your post to make my point. Just a little experiment if you like.

I don't go along with the suggestion that there is a vendetta against Henry. I think it's just the simple fact that many Rangers fans, myself included, don't rate him and are frustrated at Ramsey's perverse insistence on starting him every week. I agree, however, that booing your own players is dumb and just plain nasty.

But I don’t get your point. Are you saying that Ramsey deserves credit for selecting Green rather than Smithies?

That’s such a base level to suggest praise for.

I mean you might as well start praising Ramsey for picking 11 men… although with Henry’s lack of involvement during matches this season its pretty much as if we have been playing with 10 men anyway
