.... or is this site dying a slow death? Activity on here seems to have dwindled on here lately with only a small handful of members posting in the last few weeks. I suspect many like myself haven't bothered because of the insults flying about. I'm sorry guys but it's why I just can't be arsed to do match day threads anymore. I blame it squarely on the 'why you must vote tory' thread, never a good idea to mix football and politics. It's a shame because I used to post many times each day and considered fellow canary fans on here to be my 'e-friends' but it seems that if you dare to have an opinion on life and politics that differs from the majority you are looked down upon with disdain. Perhaps once 'that' thread disappears or is closed we can get back to debating all things NCFC and put our differences behind us, I live in hope.

Frankly the political thread is fine but it keeps spiling over on to others and generally seems to have generated ill feelings between posters.

It does always seem to get quite slow around the international breaks.
 
Hi KIO, as a perennial lurker (since BBC 606), I guess I'm just used to keeping opinions to myself and ignore most of the infighting
I read and enjoy many of the posts on here (your match day threads much included) and only occasionally wondering at the bizarre (drink fueled?) posts that end up in usually interesting posters departing.
I hope you and others keep posting as I do find the passion and knowledge behind all of the Norwich fans/supporters (tick as appropriate) many postings quite informative.

I do agree that the traffic on here has slowed and hate to admit but think your comment about the link to the political thread could have some weight to it.
I enjoy a good political debate but totally agree that it has to be kept in chek and maybe his has spilled over, I hope that I have not been guilty of this charge, please tell me if this is the case. My views are fairlt moderat and I hate extremism be it left or right, but some of the pro-Corbyn comments have left me non-plussed, it is as if some people have started believing that there are fairies under the bed.More importantly, are we gonna win today? I sure hope so, becasue this would be massive!
 
It always slows in the summer and for me the busiest time at work is September to December. I reckon it's similar for most other posters and will pick up again over Christmas as usual. It's not like the Binners' board where sometimes not even a comment in a day.
 
Do we need a respect campaign ? I'm not sure it's as bad as you suggest KIO, but we could certainly do with a bit more discussion and a bit less, my opinion is right and everyone who doesn't agree, doesn't have a view worthy of consideration.

I've just got tired off it all. I used to post more but some people have got an agenda and it creeps through into even football related posts.

The Tory thread is the worst thing on here I have posted in and I wished that I never did and just bit my lip as it has soured the whole experience for me.

It's just weird on here now. It's like I've outed myself as a Tory and I'm no longer welcome in some peoples eyes.

Anyone who says you're not welcome because you're a Tory is a stupid arse. I will never agree with you politically, but I value your input on NCFC matters and always will!

I started this thread as a funny cartoon and can't believe it is still trundling on!

I don't blame you Dave. It was my own stupid fault for posting stuff on it.

I bet I'm not the only one who wishes they had steered clear of it. I'm surprised and disappointed how the thread has stuck around.
 
I've tried. I opened the General Football Thread, and What are you watching Thread, and have responded to a few others, mostly match day threads. I didn't think it was all that bad. Better than a lot of other clubs from what I've seen.
