I've only ever had one and that was in Greece. Never understood the fascination after the alehouse.

The doner meat over there was exceptional as were the kofte kebabs.

I know the dish you were on about sky, bloke we went out an ate with ordered it it did look good.

The doner meat over there is something special though you see them in the morning skewering slices of beef onto it then adding a big lump of fat on the top which as it rotates glues everything together. The one bar we liked had its own kebab shop so had a skin full in the bar then popped next door on the way back to the hotel..

    I want kebab now..

I love kebabs, all varieties, doner, shish, kofta, tandoori, doesn't matter. Chili sauce, garlic sauce, yoghurt sauce, doesn't matter. Naan, pita, doesn't matter. Sober, pissed, doesn't matter.

Tonight I've revisited a pub on the edge of Exmoor I used to come to four and a bit years ago. I've achieved a first in failing to finish the food, not because it was no good but because there was a ridiculous amount of it.
12oz sirloin rare, thrice cooked chips, peas, onions rings, grilled tom and pepper sauce. Couldn't finish the chips, way too many. Or one of the onion rings.

Cracking food and the ale is superb, Exmoor brewery Fox.

    I feel rather stuffed.

    Man fail.

I've never been in an eatery that has provided me with sufficient to cause this. I have stuffed the last bits in whilst feeling actual physical pain, but never had to stop.

It was odd, ordinarily I'd polish off the lot.

I'm not eating much carb type food though, I think they turned me a bit in the end. A bit too much of the deep fry on the third round of cooking too.

That sounds like a starter ffs.

I destroyed a 42oz steak at home with a mountain of home made wedges, onion rings flat mushroom and purple sprouting. Could have easily eaten more..

Anyone happens to pass Gloucester services on the M5 you need to go in there it's a farm shop services and the steaks and cheese are ****ing awesome. Got some Gloucester old spot sausages too which were a joy.

Past it the other week driving to Devon from Manc.

Was ****ed and hungover, couldn't be arsed to call in.

42 ounce? You sure? That's massive.

Like I said, it was a bit strange last night as I'd usually scoff that no sweat. Wasn't that hungry at breakfast either, all very strange.

    Hank Marvin now mind.

Yeah the ****er was massive. Was a T-bone. Was about an inch an half thick and bigger than my griddle pan.

Meant to be going out tonight, can't be arsed, accidentally got pissed last night.

If it's a T-bone then surely it was 20oz of meat and the remainder bone and gristle? Still impressive though!

Off to Paris and Disneyland tomorrow, whoop-de-do. Couldn't face staying in one of the ****ty Disney resort hotels with chicken nuggets for breakfast so we're at the Radison. Twice as high quality, a third of the price, those Disney ****s certainly have some front!
